Pain of Rejection - Prem's Haalat ..

I did read a few comments that Prem came across as very selfish, bratty and spoilt .. after seeing that he went to Nandini's house to meet her .. maybe to plead with her to marry him .. that he loves her .. etc .. etc.
I didn't quite think that was or is the case ...
Like the title suggests ... Prem has now gone through the pain of being rejected and maybe he will understand what Sumati must have gone through, when he, in an instant, asked for Nandini's hand in marriage. The moment he heard from his mom that Nandini's family said 'NO' ... he became numb .. poor guy had tears in his eyes 😭 And the entire coffee shop scene ... when he is thinking of Nandini .. he had superbly portrayed pain .. without saying anything at all!
We may think Prem went to meet Nandini ... but I won't be surprised if he actually went to meet and apologise to Sumati for his behaviour. Guess after apologising to Sumati .. and with her breaking the ice between them .. Nandini would feel comfortable in his presence. Who knows, Sumati might just leave them alone .. bahane se, get out of their way .. lol! 😆 Maybe then, Aayi sees Prem-Nandini together .. and obviously draws her own conclusions.
Here ... I think ... Sumati will have a pivotal part to play. From her POV .. something that Aayi should and will realise (I guess) is knowing that Sumati could never be happy with Prem knowing that he loves Nandini. She getting married to Prem would be, like destroying 3 lives ...
Overall .. loads of possibilities and fun! Enjoy the episode tomorrow 😳

Hmm.........nice point Eksie............😛 but I don't somehow think that is the case! Prem has fallen head over heels with Nandini.........and I think it is just his impulsive nature which makes him go to the Karmakar house at night..........😉 Or maybe I want it to be that way!! 🤣
I know I said it seems a pretty senseless thing to do........but I am sure there will be some reason for it! 😃 And I love the bratty, impulsive Prem very much........GK really gets into the skin of the character in such roles!! 😳 I think for the first time in his life he has met with a nay..........and is finding it hard to accept...........
And you are right about the expressions..........he really showed the pain well without any words at all!! 👏

hi everyone

eks - nice topic

i have been calling prem bratty.. i dont think i ever called him selfish but i meant bratty in a very nice way... didnt mean to imply any negative traits.... i feel his behavior reflects the fact that he is the younger of two brothers, so he doesnt have the same responsibilities as the elder bro and has a lot more fun with the casual relationship he has with his parents, he is his mothers ladla but he was also very attuned to her feelings

the other thing was his disregard of how nandini was responding to him, he is just focused on his falling in love, think he is in the clouds and did not see how nandini was responding to him, her shrugging his hand off everytime, she has not even said a word to him... he is just so happy with falling for her that he does not seem to be looking

but yesterday he could instantly see that his mother was not feelling well, totally unselfish and unbratty of him, he was quick to offer to make her coffee... and this was all before he even thought it could be anything to do with his issue... i loved that scene,

i dont know if he is being selfish or not, dont think he is being unreasonable about wanting to marry nandini unless nandini was telling him no... i think we would see a different side of him if nandini was to tell him i dont want to marry you

dont know what a 24 yr boy could be thinking when the proposals are going through the families.. havent ever been in that situation 😆

might continue this specially after todays episode

I don't think he is going to say sorry to Sumati(too much in N right now), thought I wish he does. But maybe while he is there he came across her and realize his behaviour and say sorry, and she will be the one who helps him out in getting Nandu(love that name)
From what I have seen so far, they are trying to rapidifire the marriage thing, don't drag it. And all this impulsiveness, chidishness, unmaturity is building Prem's character or Prem rather. None of these are bad qualities, it is upto what extent, that matters.
We all know marriage will happen soon and maybe sooner the secret(What is the secret, killing me😭) will be out. At that time, we as audience will relate too Prem then and know what and why he is thinking.
I never thought he is selfish, more immature, not further thinking kind of happy go lucky guy. He must have never been to hostel, under Mom all his life, guys like those, tend be little immature, little unresponsive of feelings to others except Mom sometimes. Again it is general thought looking at people in family, please no one take it personal.

Hey everyone ... Thanks for your inputs 😊
@ Shobs - I too don't mind it any way they show it ... coz both ways, the situation or their characters are justified 😊
@ Fatima - I didn't mean 'bratty' in a negative way either ... I just put it like those mentioned was one aspect shown ... while there could be another angle to it, which I thought could be Prem understanding the situation a little better after Nandini's family saying 'No'.
But you're right .. he may have disregarded Nandini's feelings/thoughts ... but with his mother, it was a different story altogether. Lets see how he goes about things today 😊

Eksie.......I wanted to comment here yesterday after the episode.........but kya karoon........multitasking on 3 to 4 locations is getting to be difficult! 😆
Your intuition proved right about Prem apologizing to Sumati.........even though he did not actually go to the Karmarkar home to say sorry......but Prem used his brains when he was caught by Sumati and said he had come to say sorry........and she led him a nice dance.......🤣
That Prem-Sumati scene will remain one of my favorites...........both were absolutely adorable!! 😛 Eks, do see if we can get Abigail fans page added to DSDV forum.......I have become her fan as well!! 😃
