Stoic Abhay & A Funny Last Scene

Okay so I haven't seen this show since the first episode but I watched today's episode. Anyways, I watched it and there were only 2 things that stuck with me (none of which are positive):
1. Abhay aka Vivian was quite stoic in the Romeo and Juliet scene.
2. The show is mocking itself by trying too hard to show the supernatural theme especially in that last scene.

Point 1: I admit I have only seen 2 episodes of this show, and so my judgment may not be the best one around. But still I think Vivian needs to improve on his acting...I found it quite stoic, dry and very emotionless in that Romeo and Juliet scene. I don't find tv actors to be really good actors, but still I think his acting in that scene was quite lacking of emotions and expressions. I didn't mind his acting that much in his other scene but still for the show and the Abhay-Pia pair's success, I think Vivian needs to improve his acting skills.

Point 2: Okay we get that the show has a supernatural theme but do they have to try such childish and stereotypical methods to show that? Smoke, lenses, black wardrobe for everyone, and black upholstery! And I haven't even seen most of the aired episodes so far, so I don't even know what else they have shown. Overall, I found the last scene quite laughable and very tacky. I wish they would have handled the supernatural element in a better manner but I didn't expect that.

All in all, Vivian needs to improve on his skills and the CVs need to handle the supernatural element in a more tasteful and mature manner. That last scene looked more like an elementary kid's representation than a team of mature adults who are supposedly 'creative'. Lol it was anything but creative. On second thought, if the purpose of that scene was to make us laugh, then well done :)

😆

I agree! vivian isn't a 'good' actor, IMO. he needs to improve alot. even in the scenes where he's required to be emotionless, he comes across as wooden 😆 so yep, he really needs to work hard.

I agree with the second part too. the show is trying too hard, it ends up looking fake quite a few times. infact I enjoy the 'un-supernatural' scenes more than the supernatural scenes 😛

I agree yaar,i think thats why Vivian is suited for the role coz he cant act ,as Abhay doesn't need much acting,he does disappearing and running and that too even that is not done by him .😆.Two things indians cant to good comedy and quality horror ,but i am dying to see him flying in the air and his fangs popping out ...that would be the icing on the cake and not to mention Ektas ware wolves Wow.😆

Phew! *wipes off sweat*
Lol finally some replies...I was beginning to feel that people only like hearing good things about the show. No negative comments are welcome!
Okay good to see that others agree too, and I think more supernatural stuff is only going to make us laugh more as opposed to being thrilled or scared. And ya all this is by Ekta, hence even more reason to laugh. See I wanted to give this show a chance but my initial thoughts upon hearing about it were right: it would only mock itself because of the supernatural element and the way it would be treated.

Thanks for the comments guys :)

The entire show needs good direction and dialogues in addition to massive acting improvement by the lead hero Abhay. Only good looks will not win him any adulations. His dialogue delivery is pathetic esp where he enacts Romeo scenes - there is no passion - entirely lifeless.

Seert the replies are here often very late and sometimes...none at all. And is Neetz gonna stalk you everywhere? Lolz!

Anyway, back to the topic! Yes! Vivian needs some serious acting classes. His dialogues are passingly good but the delivery sucks majorly!! The dialogues sting my ears...okay that was exaggerating stuff ...but anyway!

I dunno why but I am enjoying Kabir-Piya scenes more than that of Abhay-Piya...Maybe I find the former better than the latter? But Abhay-Piya somehow seems to be going the cliched way...or is it just his acting?

But yes! The CVs are trying wayyyyyy tooo hard! But nowadays its better, cuz when Abhay's face was not shown the light conveniently fell only on his "hypnotic eyes" rather than his face which was weird and so against Physics! The black is very disturbing...the dudes need colors in their lives!

On a positive note, I have hopes that all of this might improve (they are low but they are there...I mean its EKTA!!) Actors tend to act better over the course of time and since Vivian is the lead and is gonna be shown in every epi, the chances are there that he might improve soon.

P.S - Love your Imran Abbas siggy!
