Treaty???

abhay's mom says "nadi ke us par hum nahi ja sakte" n "jungle ke paar unka ilaka he aur ye barso pehle tay ho gaya tha" like in twilight cullens r not allowed on la push so had they made treaty with someone??? like Cullens did with werewolves abhay has strangth n speed like vampire n may b they r immorals so how come htey r not vampires?? if they r not vampires they which suoernatural character they r?? i m totally confused n if i m not wrong then the tattoo on abhay's back is of bat?? so plz help me guys who r they exactly
