I usually do not post on this forum and enjoy reading comments. I agree we need to keep this forum clean, but not at the cost of airing our opinions. After following this show from day one, I cannot but comment at this point. I understand this is a "Singing Superstar" show and not a show to promote one kind of singing. The Superstar should be versatile. I agree that Ranjeet is a fantastic Ghazal singer and is the next Ghulam Ali no doubt. But versatility is not his forte. I notice that the judges are promoting him and Sniti. They are good singers but cannot come anywhere near being a superstar. When doing the USA auditions they denied singers entry on the pretext that they are not versatile, how come they are making these exemptions for singers from India? Isnt that called bias?
Also we need to remember this is a singing show and the singing talent has to be appreciated and not what they look like.
Why are the judges being so "nice". They need to appreciate good singing and correct mistakes. This does not mean they should be rude or insulting. Vishal and Shekhar are excellent mentors and coat their criticism with sugar and that is a lovely way of commenting. Others need to learn from them and make this a learning experience for participants and listeners alike. Please bring genuinity back into the program.
