I don't think it was random at all. When K referred to Shamu as your Baap he was basically saying he is an outsider not family. She said it the best way she could ..... I call your Dad bauji and give him full respect. What she didn't say but conveyed was your parents make mistakes and treat me like crap yet I give them their due respect so speak about my Papa with respect too. Smart move to bring up his bauji whom he loves very much like she loves her Papa. I respect your parents so please respect mine.

Using "your baap" is a way of distancing oneself from the wrong doer when you want to blame them. He has always used sasurji ko hum bauji se lekar madad karenge. It was only when he was psst off at his sasurji he goes into tumra baap mode. That was what Prats was trying to show him. No wonder that sudden look of "wow, I didn't look at it from this direction" hit him. Baba was just like you there.😛😉
