Shows a few things rweally-

1. Abhay is a good professional. Although he did not like the movie he didnt create a ruckus during promotions and continued to promote the movie as he had committed to it. The very fact that he came out and said this 2 months after the movie released shows what his real intentions are. we know of so many actors who refuse to promote their movie due to lack of scope for the role, differences with producer and even failed relationships with co-stars. Abhay has come across as a true professional.

2. And I cant see him passing personal remarks about the Kapoors. He know what he is good at, what he is comfortable doing and has found out that Aisha is not his cup of tea.

3. thats no one can ever criticise a movie of Sona darling.......

With Kapoor Sisters he's all go-happy and charming and solo he's different. The people who needs publicity they make statement which will make them in news. And WHat can be bigger than Aisha?? And mind you NOT a single Sonam or Rhea fan started this..i didn't even knew about this article .. but glad to see the members who i thought ever existed😆 and got to know Abhay had so many fans now. Kudos to him and Sonam. Because i didn't such members during Dev D.

N abt Sonam ? every single actor is bashed out here .. she is no different !

Who sed real actors dun change thr opinions ? y they r not humans kya ?😛 N pls enlighten me wat was so wrong tht he sed ! He learnt his lesson after working in Aisha so he came up with a decision to avoid such movies in future ! so?😛

n abt real actors moving on ! He is doing the same ! thr r many actors who say tht they cringe whn they look bak to sum of thr old movies😛

Each actor have different style of working ! Comparing thm with othrs is futile😛

This is all getting ridiculously out of hand now.

I can't speak for everyone but I am not personally among the "Sonam minions" as some ppl here like to term it who are "bashing" Abhay cuz he "dared" to say anything "against Miss High and Mighty".....

Abhay is welcome to his opinion but the reason I find these quotes odd is based on all his interviews relating to Aisha before this.....he always stressed that he did Aisha for a change of pace from his usual work, he liked the script (written by his good friend Devika Bhagat) and that's about it.....he wasn't exactly banking on it as the greatest hit of his career or something.

Now everyone here can have their own opinion about how much of Aisha was "just clothes and fashion" and how much wasn't.....I personally don't think it was.....there were other flaws in the movie but 'focus on just clothes/fashion' wasn't it....I feel it's mainly a media manufactured opinion that a lot of ppl have bought into very easily.....looking at the movie more objectively, I feel it deffo wasn't only about the fashion.....the script can be faulted, Sonam's acting can be faulted.....those are all very fair points....but the fashion focus argument is just not valid to me......but then again, why would my opinion count as a "Sonam minion"....

you know something... some fans give a bad name to all the fans... and because of some fans, the celebrity gets bashed even more, because some people figure they have a license to do so now...!

the only problem "I" (i'm speaking for myself) have, is the use of degrading terms for Abhay and clearly implying so... and then trying to defend that statement which is clearly wrong, in the name of 'freedom of speech'...

this is why i feel that many genuine fans get blanketed into the same category... it's really a shame... because i enjoyed some of the earlier discussion... till a certain member spoiled it, by trying to indirectly indulge in name calling...!!

I thought for once a topic about Sonam and her movie will go peacefully and there will be a nice discussion but alas...I think instead of blaming each other we should know that both parties (sonam fans and non-sonam fans) are equally to be blamed in this topic. now everyone go drink kool-aid 😆

I gave up on essays replies..there is no point..but i still will stick to what i said and beleives and yes if abhay really said this, then it's a shame..because he was FAB in the movie. kudos for the people who made this topic to 9 and many more pages to comes.

Dude, why are you so hung up on the number of pages all the time?! All you say is this topic has reached 10 pages and that one has reached 20 pages. This point is in each of your replies...huh?!😕

@Zareena: You can agree/disagree what a celeb says, but that gives you no reason to assume or imply the celeb as anything derogatory. Actually no one has the right to use such words for any celeb b/c none of you know them personally to say such things. Please do not use such terminology for any celeb or member.

@ rest: Rather than arguing, all of you could have maturely forwarded the discussion. What was the need to go in circles on one thing? You guys gave your opinion on that comment, now move on. If it gets retaliated, then hit the report button. Ignorance can be bliss, try it out. Why get into heated discussions that really mean nothing in our lives. I have things like med school (shadowing doctors etc) to worry about and CARE about, than what these celebs say or do.

Then people complain why we close down topics. Was this going to to die down the way it was going in circles ji? No, I do not think so.

There are simple rules on this forum-do not bash members or celebs, do not instigate or take down fan groups. Is that asking too much?

Bashing fans, such as saying "Sonam minions", is NOT allowed. Seriously people, what is the need for these unnecessary fights?

I can call each member out individually on the public forum, and not send PMs. I PM you guys to avoid any embarrassment or awkwardness. However, I have no issues in doing so.

All this said, after this I will close this topic. No notes, no anything, bas open the box and click the close option.
