Siddhant Gets Nostalgic About DMG (Article)

Siddhant (Karan Wahi), one of the most loved characters of Dill Mill Gayye on STAR One has sacrificed his love for Riddhima, and recently exited the show. We catch up with him as he recalls his favorite memories from the show.

There are so many memorable moments from Dill Mill Gayye. I have been part of the show for one and half years and shooting with Karan Singh Grover and Jenny was great, then there is also my entry sequence, says Karan.

As for the most romantic scene, Karan recalls "There was this scene in my house just before I remarried Riddhima where I express my love for her." When it comes to comedy scenes, there were too many of them. "All my scenes with JP and Jiggy were funny. Another unforgettable one was the scene we shot just a day before my exit. I and Karan Singh Grover were drunk and randomly walking on the road. Our director gave us the freedom to say whatever we felt. So whatever we said in that scene was not scripted, it was impromptu" he reveals. DMG has had a number of song sequences and which one did Karan enjoy most? "That would definitely be Just Chill. It was my first song sequence on the show" he quips.

Karan has also received appreciation for handling some challenging scenes well. "Yes, there have been quite a few emotional scenes that were challenging especially just before my exit. The most challenging scene has to be my breakdown scene after Riddhima reveals that she has cheated on me. There were too many emotions involved in that scene and I was wondering whether I can pull it off. Finally it turned out quite well" reminisces Karan.

When asked about his favorite co-star, Karan complains that we have put him in a spot. "I don't have any favorite co-star because I enjoyed working with everyone. I make friends very easily and gelled with the entire cast. I share a different equation with everyone and cannot compare them" he reveals.

So what will Karan miss the most about Dill Mill Gayye? "I will miss the way we used to work in DMG. We had the liberty to perform the way we wanted to and no one pressurized us. I don't think I will get to work that way on any other show" says Karan. It is quite clear that Karan loved working in Dill Mill Gayye and he reveals that he would love to see a sequel to the show and also be part of it. "I would gladly be a part of the sequel if they can justify my character returns to the show" he says.

Karan goes on to reveal that he has been flooded by messages from fans who are disappointed with his exit from Dill Mill Gayye. Karan too has a message for his fans "I would like to tell my fans not to be sad and keep loving me and have faith in me. I promise to keep entertaining you in the future."

When questioned about future projects, he says "I am not working right now as I am on a short break. Let's see after that."

We will definitely look forward to see the charming Siddhant back on the small screen after the break.
