Of course he realises, yaar! But he will think about it and mull about it a bit, and make an inward adjustment. The next time such a situation arises he will make a considered decision. But he is simply not the sort to say "oh! you are right and I am wrong" moreover he is angry that she supported Aman against him. He will bluster his way out, as he always does.
Even in the last scene, he kept on and on about how good his father is. Do you think a doubt has not crept into his mind?? Of course it has, that is why he bugged P to say what she thought. But the minute she expressed a suspicion he got angry and defensive. Why? That is because he is an escapist and does not like to face unpleasant thinks head-on. He WANTS to believe in his father's goodness, and even though he himself knows something is fishy he will try and bluster through as if all is well. Now when he comes to now that SS was actually being matlabi in the crudest way, he will be very dissapointed. But do you think he will walk up to P and say you were right? NEVER. Even she never pushes a point and tries to score a victory once she knows that he has already realised it for himself. Her intetion is never to rub salt to his wounds but to just keep him on the right side. She is really very chivalrous that way.
What a clarification!👏👏👏 and a big hug.
