Priyanka Grades the situation will change very fast as channels have started realizing the potential of overseas markets slowly as the film industry has done.In Tamil film industry Japanese people like Rajnikant movies and they make a lot of money there not all there audience are Indians but sizable Japanese population also.

Well Chalhov I hope they quickly wake up and smell the coffee. Hindi television industry is based in Mumbai and these people just have to look how Bollywod movies deal with incoming revenue to make 2+2=4 and not 5.

yeah only a buddu will want to ignore the nostalgia-ridden NRI and not want to bring in revenue from these area. So, what Colors want to do is nothing surprising.

My grouse is - the hindi GEC earn doubly. One, by getting the people to subscribe paying heft sums and earning from the local advertisements also.
Oh nothing wrong, who cares about ethics, it is the times of grab-all-while-you-can ... so probably the Indian Regional GECs should also learn how to grab-all-while-you-can and more bcos they do direct telecast of what is aired, everything with Indian programmes and Indian advertisements, everything as it was telecast in India. Some channel even do 'Live' telecast i.e. not really 'live' events(though they do have 'live' events), but the same thing that is aired in India is aired everywhere worldwide!

If customer awareness increases a group demand is more effective and demand can be made for good content as well.From this article it is obvious that channels r realising the potential of PIOs, NRIs AND PIAs all over the world and concentrating where there r more such people.Lets see how the future develops.

as everyone said, it is Nostalgia that draw us all into here..

Like SRK movie Swadesh ( till date that is the best movie of SRK for me, i watch it once in a while , because it has all that nostalgia factor i want to see, the hero looks natural, heroine wearing saree and churidar in natural indian way, the sceneries, kaveri amma , the village, the school, the running aorund kids, the people, i love anything and everything in that movie than any other bollywood masala movie.))

.. loved CB because of this nostalgia factor, you can see romance in many , but CB romance has the blessings of Kanha, purity, and the actors portrayed them well, their chemistry.. anything and everything connected to CB is a nostalgia.. except amma dn CV creations.. I want to look at the positive side only.. ignoring all the negative charactors in it.. it was the failure of DJ and the channel, nothing else, and others took advantage of the situation and made better scenes from it.. anyway past is past we can't do anything it..

but i ditto with everyone.. NOSTALGIA... and i have that in me too...
