I absolutely loveeeeeeeeee Geet...and our Maaneet!😍 I live in US and don't have indian channels at home so I started watching Geet online on youtube. Then started to download it from different site and was so overly confused as to why the episodes were different.....found out...😲

US Episodes are ONE WEEK behind INDIA's!! WHY???? Please tell me cause thats not the case with other shows then why with Geet?

I was okay ke chalo ek week behind to behind at least I get to have all the episodes and can watch them over & over...but then a bigger problem came in... I saw the "Bahene de" episode here after reading the updates (as I do everyday) and then when I saw US aired Bahene De episode with my Mom and Bro ( haha I got my Mom and Bro hooked on Maaneet lol)....THE SONG WASN'T IN IT....IT WAS just repetition of Maahi!! 😡🤢

I thought may be some prob isliye but thats how its been for all the songs.....US episodes have never shown any songs....Pee loo, where's the party tonight, hum tum, kehena hi kya...NONE.....🥺

I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHY??????

How can other serials have everything same and GEET can't???????????

Its so annoying to be so excited and tell MOM ke aaj to mast episode tha and the song was perfect and see US epi and hear Maahi over and over....

I love Maahi but when its repeated for every important scene its not fun! 😭

So can someone knowledgeable about why the difference in Geet's episode Indian and US version please let me know so I can understand the logic behind it.

Yup!! That's how it is man, it's soooooo freakin annoying, aik to pura aik week peeche hai and then they don't even play the original song behind the sequence. The songs i think is because of the copyright issues, at least that's what i have been told.

ARGHHH that is so annoying i agree, but i just watch it on youtube
mostly bc i dont have time to watch it on tv but i like to keep up with india just bc im so curious lol

I hate that too but I think about it like this I watch the india epi on youtube and then recorde the epi on dvr (even though here in the US its a week behind) and think of this whole matter like this - Babaji wanted us to see each epi at least two times if not more .... 😆😛 😃 😆dont yall agree with me ???? 😊

chalo, im glad you see my frustration too! i still remember when i was re watching the behne de sequence on youtube, and at the same time it was airing on tv (i live in canada btw) and i was staring back and forth, and i'm like what the heck?!!? how come i hear maaaaaaahhhiiiiiiiiiiii on one end and behne de on the other!!?? and then i read some discussions on the forum and it mentioned how that's happening due to copy right issues!

and trust me hun, kaafi shows ki episodes india mein north america se one week aage hain! for example: bandini, odhani, tere liye, geet, zara nachke dikha 2, etc! it truly is very irritating! as for geet, i understand that the episodes are behind in north america, but i don't understand why they can't play the songs! cuz i've seen that the other shows play their songs.......however....now tht i think of it, i don't think that the songs are played in odhani either (i watched tht show during the summer, then randomly stopped once school started)....so now im guessing star one has major copy right issues due to which our episodes are sooo messed up!!! hmph!

and btw, you mentioned a hum tum sequence b/w maaneet......when was that?!??! i remember all the other songs.....but whenever did they play hum tum....and if they did, which version was it?? the long one (where in the movie, rani and saif are all happy and dancing), or the slightly punjabi mix (the title opening of the movie hum tum)????

they killed RTM scene by cutting out the song...my mom and me were so disappointed..it loses its magic!!!

OK...I will try to explain from my limited knowledge.

I live in U.K and I think U.K and U.S episodes are pretty much the same.

There is always a delay in the UK/US episodes.

Star One is 1 week behind

Star Plus used to be 6 weeks but now is 4 weeks behind. One reason Star One is quicker to air overseas episodes than Star Plus is because Star Plus adds subtitles to its episodes and this normally takes time to do. Star One does not have subtitles so program is ready to air overseas quicker.

NDTV is some 4 weeks behind with the serials but only one week behind for the Reality shows.

Don't know about COLORS - I don't have this channel

SONY - is the only channel which manages to air overseas episodes at same time as India. Maybe they have use a different orbiting satellite. Who knows?

AS FOR HINDI SONGS in Geet. Well.....I watched the 'Roop Tera Mastana" 1st epi when it was aired in UK. No RTM song in that epi. But every Sunday...all 5 episodes of Geet are repeated here in the UK at 1.00pm. And I watched that epi again on Sunday and RTM was playing in the episode. I was really amazed. 😲😲😲 It looks like they air the actual India episodes on Sunday repeats.

I don't know if you have repeats on Sunday...but if you do....you could try to DVR the Sunday epi next time they have a hindi song as background music.

It is very annoying indeed. They do the same in the Uk as well. We are roughly a week behind but what gets under my skin is the fact that viewers abroad are subjected to serious modifications during the sequences. For example, we never got to witness Teri deewani, it's the time to disco and roop tera mastana. Copyright issues meant that we get instrumental music....which ruins the entire sequence. It makes all the difference. Not fair!

Samra...thank you for your reply...😊 the thing is I don't have Indian channels at home so I download it from a site where they upload US aired episodes. And this site I download from has all the current episodes for serials I watch.

Hum tum ek kamre mei bandh ho...not hum tum - tere dil vich hai hum tum! The conference room sequence. 😳

Hmm so copy right issues...well I sure hope Star one gets it soon....cause its soo annoying and takes out the magic and I can't stand it. 😕
