I am speechless today!! Never in my dream I expected that today I will see Geet's declaration to the world that she is pregnant & that too proudly, defiantly & boldly without holding herself back or cringing under the questioning eyes & wagging tongues of the society!
CV's, Nissar, Swati, Richa & the team pls take a bow for coming up with this magnificent episode when GC is completely out. Superb! And all the more I loved it because I had no notion of this coming up at all & suddenly I got to see this mind blowing episode where Geet's character reaches a new height altogether. Many said earlier Geet's character is not growing but I never for once believed it & said no, she is growing in her own way & her silent mode speaks volume & even puzzles MSK! She has grown wise & mature from what she was & it shows in her every step when she is questioning MSK about his intentions, sincerity, promises, acknowledgement & integrity! Every time her quizzical mind poses that 'fake' question to MSK which though looks repetitive & mistrusting towards him but still shows her character groW*H that she is all about once bitten twice shy! Once she has been badly jolted in life which left a deep scar & now she is wary about a vow made to her even if its from MSK himself.
And today we saw a new definition of Geet altogether!! Ok before going there I saw something very unique today in the episode that is Geet is already MSK's soul-mate! And not only she is his soul-mate but she is realising his presence even when he is feet away from her!! I was so happy to see even in his office when she was looking & searching for those credit card statements (by the way a great logical touch here, I am sure Doodle will be elated 😃) she realised MSK was there & left in search for him! She almost ran to the lift to receive him with her smile, warmth & love! Nobody told her or informed her but she knew he was there for her & she had her heart swell in happiness to get back to him! Very touching indeed! This is the 1st time we ever saw this in Geet!
And DD was once again superb today! When the elevator door opened she had her eyes closed with a smile to welcome MSK but instead out came Dev & her smile immediately vanished leaving her with shock & anger. Loved how she told him that a person who runs leaving her behind shouldn't be talking about finding her! Barry Dhillon beautiful apt dialog! It hit Dev to the core. No matter how goody-too-shoes he tries to become what he did to Geet is still a raw open wound & that will take time to heal.
That old clipping of MSK though for some seconds was a treat to watch! So thank u CV's for intelligently using the old MSK clippings. 😃
And Geet u r MSK's soul-mate, so have confidence in him! Don't question him about his whereabouts & his intentions at the drop of a hat!! If he knew u were back he wouldn't waste even a single moment to be there next to u! So try & analyse what has happened & why is he not there instead of losing all hopes & trust on him! I am not blaming u & under the circumstances any person would have reacted that way but now think from ur heart & soul & I am sure u will be able to connect to him about his ordeals or his whereabouts!
And I was so vexed with Pinky today!! She is such a blabbermouth! All her mouth & tummy can hold is food & nothing else. 😡 She should have eaten the cake brought by Sasha then at least she should have been mum about everything when Sasha so cunningly posed those queries. Knowing Sasha & her conniving ways Pinky just got sucked in & without thinking she blurted out. Really bad Pinky! Adi u ought to have been more careful of her in this situation knowing about her weakness of being a chatterbox.
Anyway the moment Sasha knew the truth I knew she is going to raise hell in office! This office talks & statements & gossips completely baffles me! They do it behind one's back in reality but here its done so openly, so candidly, so overtly that it takes me by surprise & shock! Sasha's insults, taunts & mockeries were beyond the office decorum & that kind of irritated me! Ok so Geet's pregnant, so what is it to her? That's Geet's life & she doesn't need to interfere about the father, when or why it was conceived!!? And those lame comments in the background made me laugh my heart out! 'Oh why did she leave her small town? What sin did she commit?' And after knowing she is pregnant they said 'arre yeh toh paap hai' & I was like yeah it is a sin to consummate & be pregnant & that too in India where the population is billion plus!! And how many children that r born everyday r out of wedlock only? If these were said by some villagers in HP I would have still understood but in a metro city like Delhi where all these people come from an educational background working in a nice place with posh ideas have these sort of mentality?? They can be all decked up in a party in a western outfit & yet in reality their mindset belongs to 18th century!! In real life people don't even have time to think about themselves forget about talking about why & how some1 in their office got pregnant & openly asking about it! I know talks r bound to happen & gossips r a pro in Indian society but they do so behind one's back & not so frankly at one's face!
Anyway, DD as I said was more than superb today! The moment she understood that Sasha was mocking about her pregnancy her expressions reflected shock & she was almost shattered!! But like always she pulled herself up to face her back squarely! Thanks to Adi he at least opened his mouth in protest instead of standing there twiddling his thumbs.
That one gesture of Geet holding her dupatta tightly said so much about her inner storm that was going on within her. What a blow she has to face that too of no fault of hers! She abided by the wishes of her family to give in her consent in marriage & after submitting herself to her lawfully wedded husband today she has to bear the brunt of the society about her child she is carrying out of that illegal, null & void marriage! Every time a girl has to face the questions & answer the society, so true! And in most cases we find a woman is another woman's enemy!! They r the first one to besmear another woman, to taint her character, to question her ethics & morals!
In all this even in her moment of anxiety & concern there too she is thinking only & only of MSK to be with her at this time of crisis! And here they show Geet is a counterpart of MSK whom Maan has created himself! She is nothing but an extension of MSK! In a sense this is another reference of her being a soul-mate to Maan. And she needs his help, his support in such a time & even when he is not there physically he is constantly strengthening her from within, supporting her within her heart!
NT & Dev confrontation was as usual good, specially NT with her malice & taunts. She is always bang on whenever she is with Dev, she knows him inside-out so far & his sudden change in him is perplexing her just as it is bewildering us! She is at a loss as to where is he coming from, why is he suddenly being so chivalrous, what is his motive in becoming a martyr all of a sudden! Her mocking expression changes to shock so instantly when Dev informs her about his intention to hand himself over to the police very shortly. And Meera she is another blind girl, she doesn't even notice NT while coming forward to talk to Dev! I knew she will get a mouthful from NT! But again Dev surprised me here, he supported Meera wholeheartedly.
AS as far as ur acting goes I will say I liked u on Friday more. The NT segment was ok, ur standing up for Meera was convincing but when Geet came forward to challenge u there u lost it again. Ur expressions should have reflected the shock, the dismay, the surprise, the disbelief, the stun but there I found u r looking all blank!! I mean it was more of a puzzled look rather than all the above emotions. I expected u to do better in this scene because it was too critical for ur character. For the 1st time u r hearing Geet is pregnant & that too she is questioning u about it directly hinting that u r the cause of it, then ur expressions should have brought the heaven & earth down to connect the dots here realising what Geet said & what is her implication! I just hope Nissar will carry on with the scene tomorrow & maybe we will see AS doing justice to the scene with his expressions. Actually NT had a brilliant expression on her face when she saw Geet!! It was almost like seeing a ghost! I would say even Meera, Sasha & Tasha all of them did a splendid job there with their expressions!
And Geet I loved her assertive barging in on both NT & Dev & posing that question in a confident manner that there is some questions in Sasha's mind which would Dev mind to answer!! And then her taunting NT also about how she too can put in her 2 cents on that issue! Loved that strong undercurrent in that scene & NT's unease in the whole situation! 'How can I be pregnant when I am not married?', a direct question without beating around the bush!! A job well done DD!! Very good acting indeed! Everyday she is carrying the show on her 2 shoulders of late. Brilliant performance! 👏
And the precap was our questions put across to the CV's that we can forgive Dev for robbing her off with her property & jewellery but why did he rob her of her purity, her character, her identity, her innocence, her chastity!! This is the question she poses tomorrow to Dev who wants to be a hero from zero! But I very much doubt whether he will answer her at all or not! I feel this elevator accident news will come at that precise moment when Dev will open his mouth to own up & everything will be lost in that commotion of MSK accident! Even Geet will run to see him & so will Dev! And later NT will mould the situation to her own advantage turning Geet into a liar!! Will see how they carry it out. And even if Meera tries to corroborate Geet's news saying Dev has confided in her about this as well then too NT will just shove & push her around talking about her wrong intentions on Dev & her effort in separating Dev & NT!!
Now some reality check for u CV's!! I loved Geet's character groW*H today but my question to u is will u be able to keep it consistent henceforth? Once MSK returns will u again make her coil in to her shell of being wary of society & people?? If u do that again u will mess & lose her character consistency!! Today she was a female version of Maan himself, in true sense Maan ki Geet!! I just hope u will carry it forward henceforth.
But another thing that comes to mind is if Geet is like MSK all upfront & bold & open then where will MSK stand when he will be back? All along we have seen him taking up the brunt of the society on behalf of Geet, if she is capable of handling this then what will be MSK's position in future? Just a thought!! Though I loved Geet's fight today specially answering to those people who r in this situation of life without a Maan but still as far as the story goes I just had this query of the importance of MSK in the storyline in future!
I doubt Dev will own up tomorrow or rather he will have the chance to own up tomorrow but if he does then again our scenarios of MSK declaring the baby as his own to the society will be down the drains! I doubt the CV's will do this & that is why at the prime moment they will bring in the news of MSK's accident. If not, then again Dev will be 'mahaan', the magnanimous hero from a villain & that again will make me pose the question where will MSK be in all this when he will return from his hibernation??!! MSK can't be a 2nd fiddle in the story & they have to justify his presence. So will wait & watch how u all will play everything out.
And lastly I found the entire storyline to be a rushed. I was expecting this episode some weeks later & not today!! I know GC is out & u had to hook in the audience with a big bang without GC & for that u had to make this public announcement of the baby issue by Geet but still somewhere I felt it was rushed. It came too early in the story! I understand for TRP's u all had to take a stand but still I wish it was done logically & at an easy pace! I won't complain though because u all r doing ur best under the circumstances but still had this nagging feeling at the back of my mind! Somehow am a little wary about the whole situation of baby truth out in the society so soon, Geet's position, MSK's return & his stand at what juncture, Dev's turning holier than thou attitude, NT's turning a super villain & Meera's helplessness in the whole situation!! Just hope u have got the storyline planned from here on to carry forward logically! I don't want to see u all digging a deep sap for urself!!
As I said brilliant performance by DD & a great applaud for Geet herself! Loved her character groW*H but at the same time have my inhibitions remains which I mentioned above. DD's body double is much better I will have to say, specially from the back in the scene of her confrontation with Sasha! Missing u MSK!! GC get well soon, hope to see u back all recuperated & healthy!!
