Is This Love? (PH, AK, AR) Pt 5 Pg 5 - Page 3

Previous part: Armaan has a rocking day celebrating his birthday getting himself a cake with his face on it, an Armani watch, a Yamaha bike, a pen, an ipod with an intempo. Arjun finds out that Heer has also landed the same job as his, Heer is still blaming herself. Riddhima can't find dancers ans so dances herself leaving Armaan speechless at his surprise party which Riddhima had held. At home there was other plans for Armaans birthday. angad finds out that Armaaan has a girlfriend but no names are mentioned.

Armaan today is the first one to get up again; Gayatri sees him and gets a little worried

G- (Thinking) yesterday was his birthday but today…there has got to be some reason behind this

Ar- Oh mother, you're the best mum in the world

G- What happened to you?

Ar- (Dreamily) Love…I mean umm…I mean I want to get work over and done with so that I can play with my PS3

G- O… k…Today's...

Ar- ok bye

Armaan rushes off with out listening to Gayatri. He then gets on his brand new bike and takes his I-pod with him too

Ar- Man I love this bike all thanks to Rahul and this I-pod bhai you're the best

Armaan soon reaches the hospital he quickly rushes inside and none of the interns are there, he looks at his watch and it's only half past seven

Ar- Argh…Are you kidding me? First time in my whole life I woke up at seven o'clock. No one's going to be here yet

As soon as Armaan says that he sees Riddhima standing in front of him. She turns around and catches sight of him. She smiles and walks towards him.

R– What are you doing here? You've never come this early before

Ar– I woke up early and got bored at home so I got on my bike and came here

R– I see

Ar- is anyone else here yet?

R- No, no-one comes in this early. They usually come at 8ish

Ar- (quietly) I get half an hour alone with Riddhima. Yes!

R- Did you say something?

Ar- did you hear something?

R– I heard mumbling

Ar- oh, erm… no I didn't say anything

R- Are you okay?

Ar- yeah I'm fine why?

R- You just look a bit too happy today.

Ar- is it a crime to be happy?

R- Well no but…

Ar- then forget about it, lets just enjoy the moment we got to our selves

Riddhima smiles and shows him the expression saying "I agree"

Ar- I'll be right back 2 seconds

R- Armaan?

Armaan comes back in 5 minutes

Ar- Come with I know the perfect place for us

R- Where

Ar- Just follow me ok

R- Today's Diwali you know

Ar- oh I totally forgot

R- Thought so, I didn't think your brain can handle this much

Armaan looks at Riddhima telling her to be quiet, the two soon reach the place that he was on about. Riddhima looks to the side and is mesmerized

Ar- Happy Diwali! There happy

R- Very much. Happy Diwali to you too

Ar- Close your eyes

Riddhima does the opposite and widens them

Ar- I said close your eyes and your acting like you just saw a friggin ghost

R- Sorry, it's been a habit since I was small

Armaan puts his hand on her face and runs his hand across it, Riddhima then closes her eyes. Armaan directs her to where he wants her to go. She gradually opens her eyes when Armaan tell her to, as soon as she opens her eyes she sees a room full of candles

Ar- I didn't really forget

R- Aww Armaan

Riddhima hugs him

Ar- I want to spend this Diwali with you, can this be our second date?

R- If you want it to

Ar- Then so it is

The two stare in to each others eyes

R- I don't know what to wear though

Ar- How did I know? I knew you were going to say that so I brought you a suit

R- You brought me a suit? You didn't have to

Ar- Oh but I did I felt like it

R- Armaan any girl will be lucky to have you

Ar- So I have been told

R- So…

Ar- So…

R- OMG its 8 now

Ar- Already

R- Yeah so let's get going

The two walk over to where Kirthi allocates them their jobs. By the time they get there they see that Kirthi is already there

K- Oh wow, first time the both of you have come in before everyone else, that's good keep it up

Armaan glances at Riddhima

K- Lets wait for Rahul and Muskaan

At the Sharma house Arjun is still sleeping; Angad is already up and thinks it is about time that Arjun woke up too

An- Arjun bhai get up its 8

Arjun doesn't reply

An- Bhai! I don't think he is going to get up

Just then Angad remembers when he and Arjun were trying to get Armaan up

An- Well it seemed to work on him

Angad gets a jug of water he decides to just sprinkle water first but then tips the whole thing

Ar- AAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAADDDDD!!!!

An – Uh oh better run

Arjun chases Angad right outside the house, soon people start staring at him

Ar- Why is everyone staring at me?

An-(Sniggering) don't ask me

Arjun starts looking around him

An- I don't think your problem is around you, (Pointing) it's down there

Arjun looks down and sees that he has no trousers or a top just his underwear

Ar- Oh **** not on Diwali

Angad takes out his phone and snaps a picture of Arjun. Arjun runs back inside while Angad is behind him walking and laughing

An- Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Arjun throws a pillow at him and tells him to shut up, he goes up stairs to have a shower, while Angad still stays down stairs

G- So have you made your mind up?

An- About what?

G About you going to college

An- No, no, no, no, no I don't want to go

G- Stop whining like a baby you still have 45 minutes, get changed!

An- But what about the Diwali celebration

G- We'll sort that out

An- Fine mother India!

Angad goes up the stairs to get changed while Arjun is coming down the stairs already changed

An-(Laughing and looking at his phone) that's going on facebook

Arjun gives him the sign that he his about to slap Angad

Ar- Facebook da chacha

Back at the hospital everyone is getting on with their jobs. Armaan is walking down the corridor just when he goes past where Riddhima is working

Ar- Oye Hoye

Doctor Shashank walks down the corridor just then

Dr S- Dr Armaan

Ar- What man!

Shashank's eyes go wide. Armaan bites his tongue and turns around

Ar- Margaya…Umm…Doctor Shashank I thought it was Rahul

Dr S- Is that so Dr Armaan?

Ar- Sorry Sir please don't be mad at me

Dr S- I'm not mad it's Diwali you're obviously Riddhima's friend and want to talk to her about Diwali

Armaan gets confused but decides to play along

Ar- Of course Sir that's exactly what I was doing

Dr S- Shouldn't you be getting on with some work

Ar- I shall soon don't worry

With that Shashank leaves. As Shashank leaves Riddhima begins to walk out the room, she sees Armaan and smiles but Armaan looks scared

R- Armaan what happened?

Ar- Dr Shashank happened

R What?

Ar- Yeah I mean he is so scary, strict and sheesh he just goes all up in your face

Riddhima looks very angry at this point

R- Armaan do you even know who you are talking about?

Ar- Of course I do, how can you not I mean he is not hard to miss

Shashank then is about to go past them but stops when he sees Armaan and Riddhima

Dr S- Riddhima

Riddhima looks at Armaan and back at Shashank

R- Yes dad

Ar- Aww how cute…wo! Wait a minute, Dad!

Armaan's eyes widen

Ar- (Thinking) OMG! Dr Shashank is Riddhima's dad oh crap

R- Yes Armaan, Dad

Dr S- Don't come home late today we got a pooja

R- Yes dad

Shashank then leaves. Riddhima storms off

Ar- Riddhima! Wait I am sorry I didn't know. At least don't be angry at me on Diwali

Riddhima finally stops

R- Fine but I am still angry at you

Ar- Don't show your anger please

R- I won't but after today you better watch

Armaan backs away

Ar- She scares me too

R- I heard that

Ar- Oops

Armaan and Riddhima go their separate ways. At the college Angad is in his lesson

An- Sir can I change my seat?

S- Give me a valid reason

An- I can't concentrate sitting next to some people

Angad looks at Kripa

S- Angad your personal life has nothing to do with college

An- But Sir

S- That's enough Angad

Angad turns to face Kripa

An- Fine

Angad agrees unwillingly

An- This is all your fault

K- Well I'm not the one being stubborn, can't you just let go of the anger, and where were you yesterday

An- No I wont let go of my anger I never had, and I was at home yesterday because of someone

K- Ok, ok no need to rub it in my face

Angad and Kripa stop talking and face the front, just then the receptionist comes inside with a note

S- Yes what is it?

R- It's a note

S- Saying…

R- That Angad and Kripa have been chosen to compete together in the Diwali competition as a couple to see who does the best dance

Angad is drinking water out of his bottle and ends up spitting it out

S- Is there something wrong Angad?

An- (Shaking his head) No sir

K- Do you hate me that much?

An- You think

S- Well then congratulations you two

An- More like a death wish

K- Angad how can you think like that, you're so mean

Angad gives her a stern stare

K- That may have been a bit inappropriate to say

A- Well we have been chosen we might aswell win this

K- Is it being held today sir?

S- Yes by the end of today near 9 o'clock

K- That's alright

An- Ok fine meet me at break

K- Ok

An- But this does not change my anger

K- Fair enough

An- You're going to have to try better than flowers, I mean I'm not some Barbie doll

At the caf Arjun and Heer are unable to talk to each other because of all the rush as soon as it is break they take advantage of the moment

Ar- I hate this caf

H- Me too

Ar- I mean so much running about

H- I know it never stops but…it is clearly my fault

Ar- Shh…no its not you have got to stop saying that

H- I can't so I want to make it up to you

Arjun looks around him

H- What?

Ar-(Smelling himself) is there something wrong not preferably with me but you…

H- No…

Ar- because it looks like you just asked me on a date

H- If you say so

Ar- You see…I never usually get dates

H- It's alright, then I guess you're my first

Ar- To tell you the truth so are you

H- Huh? You look like a guy who can get dates

Ar- That's the thing I am not

H- Whatever, don't listen to what other people say they speak a lot of gibberish

Ar- So then tomorrow Sunday 7 o'clock sharp

H- Where?

Ar- Caf Royal, I don't think we are at restaurant stage, ok then I'll pick you up

H- Ok

Ar- Where's you house?

Heer tells him then begins to walk away Arjun starts to smile

Ar- man…Where has she been all my life?

Back at the Juneja house Lalit and Gayatri are getting everything ready for the pooja, when suddenly the phone rings. Gayatri picks it up and it is Angad

G- Hello Angad has something happened?

A- No mum I just wanted to ask, what time is the pooja.

G- At 6 o'clock

A- Ok mum, the thing is that I and that idiot Kripa have been chosen to compete in the Diwali competition, for which couple does the best dance

G- That's half bad and half good

A- So…I won't be able to stay too long after the pooja I am going to go and practice with Kripa

G- Even after what happened

A- Well yeah the teacher did say that personal life has nothing to do with college

G- Ok then I'll inform your dad

A- Thanks mum

The two put the phone down; Angad turns around and sees that Kripa is standing there

A- (Thinking) Oh God!

K- Who was that?

A- None of your business

K- Alright jeesh I was just asking

A- Well don't

K- Its Diwali today

A- Are you dumb didn't you hear the announcement

K- I forgot

A- Well then Dory

K- Who is Dory?

A- Hello Finding Nemo it's like my favorite film

K- You're such a baby I can't believe you watch such things, don't you watch scary things?

A- I get scared, I was watching The Grudge once and got so scared I was under the duvet and had a teddy in my hand

K- Aww that's so cute

A- Yeah but I never tell girls because…

K- In college you always act all bad

A- I might be Angad Juneja but doesn't mean I am always bad

K- For some strange reason you're not as bad as I thought

A- But…I am still angry at you

K- It doesn't really matter; I shouldn't have said that I went a bit too much over board

A- Ok so let's start practicing, so first a song

K- I don't know it's a Diwali competition

A- Yeah I think we should ask the principal

Angad and Kripa walk to the principal's office

P- Oh hi Angad and Kripa what may I do for you?

A- Sir you know the competition

P- Yes…

A- What theme should it be on?

P- Anything you want it's just a bit of fun it doesn't have to be related to Diwali

A- Thanks sir

The two go back to their practicing room, the two begin to discuss amongst each other. Soon it is 4 o'clock and Arjun and Heer are ready to go.

Ar- are you finding another job yet?

H- Yeah I am

Ar- This is going to be a nightmare, do you need a lift home?

H- No I shall go

Ar- Its Diwali at least don't say no today

H- Ok fine

Arjun drops Heer off to her drive way

Ar- See you tomorrow

H- Yeah see you too

The two then head off their own ways, Arjun reaches home and Armaan is already there helping out

Ar- Where's Angad?

Arm- He won't be back till later

Ar- Ok

Arjun goes upstairs to freshen up and soon comes back downstairs and starts to help. Soon it is nearly 6 o'clock Angad comes through the door. All three of the boys go upstairs to get changed and come out wearing their sherwanis. Armaan is wearing a red and white sherwani; Angad is wearing a white and gold sherwani, and Arjun is wearing a black sherwani

An- I can't believe you spent yesterday finding that specific sherwani

Arm- Well I wanted to buy this to…

An- Match your girlfriend

Arm- maybe

At the Sharma house the three girls are ready, Heer is wearing black matching Arjun, Kripa is wearing a white and gold suit coincidently matching Angad and Riddhima is wearing the suit Armaan brought her. The two houses do their pooja and get Prasad at the end. At the Juneja house Angad leaves in the Sherwani that he is wearing and reaches the college and waits for Kripa. Kripa also reaches the college wearing her suit. When the two come face to face they begin to stare in to each others eyes.

A- You look…nice

K- So do you

They have a moment of awkward silence and sit down at the nearest chairs

K- So how was Diwali for you?

A- Ok you?

K- Fine…I'm kind of nervous

A- Same here

Kripa looks at Angad in astonishment

K- I thought you were Angad…Angad Juneja

A- Like I told you I am not always bad

The two begin to practice again just then an announcement was being made saying that they only have an hour left. After that hour Angad and Kripa walk to the backstage behind the curtains with the rest of the couples standing and looking nervous aswell. All the couples go first then it is Angad and Kripa's turn the two look very nervous, they walk on to the stage, at first it is dark but then a stage light shines on the two soon the song Mujhpe Har Haseena starts to play from Ishq Vishk. The two stop in each other's arms staring in to each other's eyes; the crowd bursts in applause and soon the two realize that their dance is over and head back stage. The two start celebrating saying how good the dance was

K- It was so good OMG! Angad you were amazing

Out of excitement Kripa hugs Angad with out thinking. Angad doesn't know what to say

A- Kripa

K- Oh sorry I forgot you were angry at me sorry about that

A- I never said that I didn't like it

Kripa smiles and hugs him again

A- But…again this doesn't and I repeat doesn't change anything

K- I agree

All the couples go back on the stage and bow down to the crowd. The principal comes on stage

P- So who do think is the rightful owner for this competition

A number of people soon start to scream Angad and Kripa's name

P- The winner is Angad and Kripa

Angad and Kripa go to collect the competition awards the principal hands one bag to Kripa and one to Angad, they then go off the stage.

K- What did you get?

A- A sherwani and a couple of candles with some sparklers

K- I got the same except I got a suit obviously

Kripa and Angad go outside; Angad goes on to his bike and goes out the gate but does a U- turn and stops in front of Kripa

A- Need a lift?

K- Thanks but I don't take lifts

A- I'm offering, you should be thankful

K- Fine if you insist

Kripa sits behind Angad; soon he comes in front of her driveway.

K- Ok then bye

Kripa turns around to walk but suddenly stops she turns around again to face Angad's bike and sees that her veil is stuck on to his bike. He looks at her and sees what she is looking at. Angad gets up and carefully takes her veil off his bike he goes toward her to give her the veil

A- I don't think fate wants us to separate today

Kripa smiles awkwardly and turns around again but slips and fall in to his arms. The two have a good 5 minute stare in to each others eyes. Angad then slowly pulls her toward him helping her up

K- Thanks

A- Your welcome

Fate then lets them go their separate ways. Angad reaches home and goes in to his room. He takes his sherwani off leaving his torso bare and finds another t-shirt for him to wear; he is soon in his night wear and is lying in his bed. Angad starts to think about all the moments he has shared with Kripa up until now

A- Out of all the days I have had with her this was the best one

Angad then turns his light off and sleeps peacefully. At the Sharma house Kripa is also in her bed and begins to think about Angad

K- He is not as bad as I thought

Kripa turns her light off and gradually falls asleep
