Exactly how does it help when Abhi covers for Anuj? If Anuj failed to do what is required, why is Abhi taking the blame? Anuj stole his father's FD check, tried to kill his father and once again shows his irresponsiblity by allowing two workers to die. While Anuj might express some concern that Abhi is covering for him, he should have the couarge to stand up and be a man and take responsibilites. How can he even manage to eat his food at night knowing that he allowed two men do die by his own incompetence? It's disappointing that the only message this show sends is to sacrifice, sacrifice and sacrifice again and that too to the people who do not respect or like you.
Of course the icing on the cake is Simi making Neetu sacrifice her child for Anita. I cannot believe that Simi asked Neetu to do this and of course the writers of the show quickly tried to make-up for their mistake of getting Simi to do it by having Neetu say she would have done it if Simi had not pushed her. I do not understand why the writers feel that this is such a virtuous act. After all the years of working with children whose desi parents gave them away to other family members who were childless, this is by far one of the worst things to do I am disappointed that the writers of this show continue to promote such asinine concepts.

I completely agree. These outdated values really need to change. They're showing that Abhi & Simi being the best characters on the show always sacrifice so therefore you can't be the best or a good person unless you sacrifice. If you stand up for your own rights or allow people to face the consequences of their own bad actions, then you're no longer the "best" person in the family. To be "good" is to never want or desire for yourself basically is what the show is showing

Beautifully written!!! Thank you for stating so eloquently what I have had wanted to say for so long. I would like to add further sometimes it is not just your own rights, but even what is RIGHT/the right thing to do.

i agree, totally ridiculous. it doesn't make viewers like the characters more for their sacrifices. rather they infuriate and frustrate us... and alienate viewers!
maybe simi's ways are rubbing off too much on her hubby. abhi was thinking, "hmm, what would simi do?" 😉

I was thinking the same!!!😆 Afterall, let us not forget that this is the very characteristic that he so admired in her and what prompted him to marry her in the first place. So at least the CVs are keeping with the line of the story - probably the only thing they've kept consistent so far. 😕

Laila,
In order to make Abhi the "mahaan"-hero they have to make the other person an idiot and poor Anuj had to be that !!! It is just poor story-writing.
Like someone above mentioned, Simi's over-the-top sacrifices is what turned off this show for me too.

I don't know why they never retitled this show Qurbani. Seems that is what the bulk of the show it about.
"Qurbani at 12/24 KB each night. Each episode will give you a step by step guide on how to commit the ultimate sacrifice. You can order a handout if you have trouble following the process. All sacrifices are guaranteed to make you look "ultra" mahaan. We have sacrifices for all members of your family - all guranteed by the CVs of Zeetv."
Sorry no refunds available.

Good one, Laila!!😆

I do not want that hand-out ... but guess what, its not the person who does not get to be the mahaan looks idiot, instead its the person who is made mahaan with no rhyme-or-reason looks an idiot to me.. for e.g: Simi, Abhi and now Neetu(if u had not asked, I would have sacrificed my child myself) .. etc.
