'Why did you let her go?' Natasha's question haunted Shaan's mind like a night mare. He has been a fool to let her go, without hearing her consent. He was wrong to believe that her silence indicated a positive sign. He should have asked her what she wanted, rather than drawing his own conclusions. Where has she gone? He has to find her, be it now or never.
Shaan ran out of the room like a blow of wind, ignoring Natasha who came running after him, he walked towards the door. Madhvi and Mr.Aggarwal, who were busy celebrating their success stared at the door and saw Shaan running out. Madhvi kept her drink on the table and approached towards the door, thinking whether her plan has back fired or not. 'Shaan? Where is he going?' Madhvi murmered to herself and turned around to see Natasha who was stunned on the stairs. 'Natasha beta, you are here? Come down and lets discuss about the marriage' Natasha walked to Madhvi thinking that she has to go with her for Shaan.
Shaan jumped into his car and started it with one go, thinking that time is really running out for him. He drove through the familiar roads of Mumbai thinking that he would be able to catch her before it was too late. Though the roads are familiar to him, he felt that his heart was filled with pain and grieve. He eyes eagerly searched for her.
'Give me a sign, Khanak' escaped from his mouth as banged on the steering wheel hard, halting his car at a traffic light. Just then his eyes caught a glimpse of a pink dhupatta from an auto rickshaw which escaped from the traffic light. 'Hey' Shaan yelled out peeping his head out of the car.
As he started to drive escaping from the traffic light, a flash of the pink dhupatta came into his mind.He accelerated his car and followed the auto, that was about to escape from his vision. He called out again as he was sure that the people in the auto could hear his voice clearly 'hey'.
Khanak glanced from the window at the back as she heard Shaan's voice and opened her mouth in surprise 'hey baghwan, he is following me, what am I going to you now?' she murmered to herself and ask the driver to drive faster. 'Hey, madam, your dhupatta is coming out with the wind, please take it inside' Shaan shouted out loud. Khanak slowly dragged her dhupatta to herself and closed her eyes. Shaan shook his head and thought that people really don't appreciate anything good.
'Faster!' Khanak's voice caught him by surprise, as he passed the auto. He tried to get closer to the auto and called out her name 'Khanak!' finally he has caught her. 'Driver please, go faster!' Khanak ignored his voice and kept on asking the driver to move faster. Shaan thought that he has reached her, but little did he know that the auto driver played a trick on him and escaped.
'Damn it, driver! I will never leave you' Shaan gets annoyed as he touched the steering wheel of the car carefully. He drove as fast as he could, ignoring the angry people yelling at him for going beyond the speed limit. He stopped infront of the auto and walked out of his car with atitude and confidence. He approached to the auto and dragged Khanak out of it and made her to stand in front of him.
Khanak looked at his messy hair and the one day old stubble that clearly stated his status of life after her. He has become the irresponsible and carefree Shaan within less than a day. She looked deep into his painful eyes and then to his half buttoned, wrinkled shirt. Her heart skipped a beat upon seeing his condition, but she wasn't going to ruin his family and his happiness for her selfishness.
She turned around to leave but he was more careful to hold her hand back 'Khanak come back with me' Shaan told her firmly. Khanak freed her hand from his grip and answered him back 'where?' 'Where we belong to. Don't you know that we still have two more months? Dare you! Even if you want to leave me after two months also I would never allow you to go' Shaan dragged Khanak to him and embraced her in his arms as they started a new beginning.
