According to reports ekta kapoor is angry with imagine channel for pulling off her show sarvagun sampana. Ekta whose show BANDINI is imagine channel's flagship show for almost two years now had given another show sarvagun to the channel 6 months ago. But unlike bandini sarvagun had floundered from the very start and is reportedly not in list of even top 200 shows. According to imagine they waited six months whereas no channel waits more than 3 month for rating to pick up then decided to axe sarvagun. Ekta in turn reportedly threatened the channel with dire consequences. Imagine however was unfazed they said it is the programming approach of imagine not to run any soap excepting bandini for more than a year. This will lead to variety in programmong. Meethi Choori is being replaced by rakhi ka insaaf & big money by raaz pichle janam. We have placated ms kapoor and explained our position regarding sarvagun. We hope she will agree to our viewpoint. When asked what made bandini an imagine favourite...imagine said they conducted a survey in which people said they tune to imagine mainly for this one show. Imagine had sold bandini rights for huge amounts to macedonian channels and charges massive renewal charges from many other foreign telecasters. We are grateful to ms kapoor for giving us this show with Ronit roy factor when imagine was just a fledgling channel.
