TV stars ashamed of the past?

He is now known as the grown up Jagdish of Balika Vadhu, but actor Shashank Vyas has done some two-bit roles before he hit jackpot.

He has done a small role in the upcoming film Tees Maar Khan and had earlier also acted in the serial Rishta.com. He is not too comfortable talking about it. Neither is his co-star, the older Anandi, who also had done a small role on TV earlier.

They are not the only ones. Lots of telly actors try to hide their past. Shweta Tiwari has literally risen from playing an extra to dominating the small screen. But there's no way she'll talk about that! Rashmi Desai from Uttaran too is most unhappy to dwell on the Bhojpuri films she has done. So is Pavitra Rishta's main lead Sushant Singh Rajput, who did try his luck in Bollywood before he got lucky in television. We wonder why these actors have to be ashamed of their past work considering it's a known fact that making it in the glam world is not easy and people have to go though their fair share of struggle. So rather than being defensive, it's better to be open and talk about how they've come a long way and have an inspiring story to tell young aspirants.

very true,one should never forget or try to deny the modest beginnings and be proud of even the small steps at the beginning of their career...

These kids should actually take a lesson from South Super star Rajnikanth. He never hid his past from anybody. He was a bus conductor in Bangalore when he realized that he needed to aim higher. And he never hid his past from anybody.
