What was the point of Dana?

Hey guys

I was actually thinking...I'm not asking this question with bias or anything, but I was sincerely thinking about it...what was point of the character, Dana, in Camp Rock 2? Was she just there to give Nate more of a role?

See what I was thinking was that she would change her dad's opinion about Camp Rock, or help Camp Rock win the battle at the end, or cause some kind of scene to end the rivalry between the camps. None of that happened. And we don't even know what happened with Dana and Nate at the end because they hugged and he left? Why was she even there? 😆 Her character achieved pretty much nothing unless you guys prove me wrong.

I still can't figure it out. LOL anybody have anything to say?

i think it was to give Nick more of a role :) because in the first one he didnt have much of a part but i m gald he was in the this movie i mean more of a role cuz i just LOVE HIMm hes soo cutte :) i m gald he got to sing also himself the introducing me song nice topiccc :) missy.

I too think Dana wass useless...

she was wasted,,, she hardky had a role and whatever was dere, was due to Nate... to extend his role and give it importance, all in all, Dana [i think] was wasted 😕

Yeah, now that I think about this, I can say that Dana had no cntribution to the story... hmmm..
I think that she was there to make the connection between the two rival camps with Nate... but nothing more...
