Lady in Red......By Chris De Burgh
I've never seen you looking so lovely as you did tonight
I've never seen you shine so bright
I've never seen so many men ask you if you wanted to dance
They're looking for a little romance, given half a chance
I have never seen that dress you're wearing
Or the highlights in your head that catch your eyes I have been blind
The lady in red is dancing with me cheek to cheek
There's nobody here, it's just you and me, It's where I wanna be
But I hardly know this beauty by my side
I'll never for get, the way you look tonight
I've never seen you looking so gorgeous as you did tonight
I've never seen you shine so bright you were amazing
I've never seen so many people want to be there by your side
And when you turned to me and smiled, It took my breath away
I have never had such a feeling
Such a feeling of complete and utter love, as I do tonight
The way you look tonight
I never will forget, the way you look tonight
The lady in red
The lady in red
The lady in red
My lady in red (I love you.)
Lady In Red
Khanak wondered what to wear for the special event, after the phone call from Shaan. She felt too nervous to think about anything other than her being late to the venue. As she opened the wardrobe, her eyes caught the dress hanging there. Her nervousness turned into a fear as she walked out of the room, thinking that her mother-in-law might see her and might try to ruin everything. She stepped into the lift with a glance at all the sides, to make sure she was not being followed.
He saw her approaching towards him, like a blooming red rose, with hair open flowing around her shoulders, looking and smiling at the people passed by her making his heart drum harder. Without his knowledge he approached towards her, mesmerized in her beauty. She was looking for him to move away from there as soon as possible and held the palloo of her sari, to avoid it messing up with anything that wanted to stop her from reaching him.
As they walked into the hall, the investors commented 'Mr.Shantanu, your wife is so beautiful and intelligent'. He went on complimenting her new and unique ideas about their project. Madhvi and Khushboo were smoldering in anger, by seeing this. So, finally all were led to the dance floor.
'Will you dance with me, lady in red?' Shaan asked her, but she tried to walk away, blushing. He then grabs her wrist and walked towards the centre of the dance floor. He pulled her hard towards him and put his hand on her waist as they started to dance, with the RBO theme song playing in the back ground.
Khanak was dumbstruck with his hands on her waist, sending tingles down her spine. He was holding her so close that she felt his breath on her hair. She could breath in his scent and that made her head to spin. Their torso and thighs touched, leaving no space between them. She didn't know, whether she heard his heart beat or could it be hers beating in accordance to the rythm with the music. They danced around the floor.
Shaan too was shocked at the touch of her skin when he put his hands on her waist. The smoothness of her silky skin and her perfume invaded his nostrils as he took a deep breath to take her into him. He was lost in her eyes and felt that his heart beat would not be able to keep it's pace. He held her so close to him that her hair rubbed his cheeks wanting him to run his fingers in them. A shock of electric current ran through him as his fingers touched her silky hair, making him to want more of her. As he drew her more closer to him catching in her breath, brought him back to his senses. Slowly, he released her when he heard the applause to mark the end of the song, realizing he was still holding her steps back.
Slowly, she moved away from him and headed towards the food, still thinking about the intense moments they shared during the dance. While she was thinking about this, Shaan came out and saw her. He was again dumbstruck to see her beauty, in that red sari. She looked like a newly wedded, who was eagerly waiting for her husband.
