Unprecedented demand of HBP adult edition

Waterstone's Books announced today that more than 250,000 adults are expected to purchase the adult edition of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on July 16th alone (exactly two months away from tomorrow), and total sales of the adult edition will likely top all of 2004's adult fiction hits combined.

Debbie Williams of Waterstone's is quoted as saying, "We are amazed by the pre-reservation demand for the adult edition of 'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince' at launch. We are likely to see the adult edition of 'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince' account for more than 15 percent of launch sales for this book, which means that more adults will be reading a children's book this summer."

I guess they want to capture a wider audience. So many people dont buy the HP books because they find the illustrations/cover design childish.

I personally find the 1st book's design awful...Harry looks weird on the cover.

the only differnce i see in the boox are the covers. the basic story is the same and i don't think they change around the words either.

Yeah but well we can always look forward to some good and handsome looking covers. isnt it?
