GP is confused.....
I'm not sure why it takes so long to film, quite frankly. I probably don't understand how it all works---but there have to be some fixes on the back-end--script development, actor prep, set prep, meal times, whatever--that could reduce the long hours. More efficient use of everyone's time, so that everyone -- not just the actors -- can have a life too.
But I'm sure this "inhumane treatment"😆 is the exception more than the rule...these long hours. If Mishal can do his MYNM and Mahi her oft entertainment obligations, then there is NO NEED TO CRY A RIVER FOR THEM. But I do agree, that too much of it is not good. I DO feel sorry for and believe it is much worse for the crew/techs--who don't make the money, and are probably less coddled than the actors.
Someone raised the point of why the actors don't snap given their sweatshop conditions 😆😆? Of course, they do or at least it would not surprise me if they do have their little fits (who doesn't?)...remember Mahi's "gentle" complaints on the TV interviews? If that's in interviews, can you imagine what happens when the cameras are not switched on? Oh, the thali fell on my foot, boo hoo...quick call the podiatrist, schedule the surgeon, we've got an EMERGENCY!
Perhaps my opinion seems cold, but there are young kids and adults who work these types of crazy hours in REAL sweatshops, day in and day out, without the benefit of catered meals, interview times, big paydays, time off to dance their 🤬es off looking like Las Vegas showgirls, showboys, party it up, etc....
BTW, I've worked 12-18 hours many times during my career...I know people (investment bankers) who sleep in their offices for a few hours every night including weekends, get up, go home, take a shower, and come back to work again. So I don't mean to be cold--I just like to keep it in perspective.
I have a question: why are there never enough epis in the bank? I get that you want to have the benefit of ratings to tell you how viewers are responding, but I'm still confused. If anyone can explain it to me, I would appreciate it.
