Arre, I understand much of the frustration, I FEEL it!
I know in 2 weeks this questionable track direction will be over, D & N will be married, have their SR and we will live happily ever after. And, what will make us live happily ever after? A NEW STORYLINE, NEW TRACKS, NEW BLOOD.
But, I have to say one thing I am very disappointed with. But, as Shreya pointed out very correctly yesterday, LTL is a show that has to earn TRPs. That is its business. And I do recognize it has to compete with the other shows in its slot, and in some ways cater to the whims of viewers, who have been trained to expect certain things.
HOWEVER, there is one thing I have still not been able to accept. For some weird reason, according to tellywood, THREE TYPES OF WOMEN EVOLVED. Yes, all homo sapiens. These are the:
STUPID
SCHEMING
SELF-SACRIFICING/SUFFERING
And, unfortunately, LTL has fallen into this trap as well. Look, I fully recognize these 3 types are what viewers are used to in all shows. The more drama, the more TRPs. But, et tu, LTL? **GP loves the Latin language, reminisces of learning it**
Think of this as like the ACADEMY AWARDS....
IN the STUPID category, my God this year we have so many nominations: Babi, Naku, Leela, Roops, Supriya, AS. And the winner? You decide.
Under the SCHEMING category, the nominees, all well deserved, are K-K-Kala, Leela, Roops, and to a certain degree AS. Winner? The hands-down favorite, K-K-Kala herself.
Under the SELF-SACRIFICING/SUFFERING category, you have the great MAHAAN herself, Nakusha. Oops, no other nominations? Arre, we have our winner! Raises Naku's arm into the air, as if she won by a TKO (knock-out), a boxing match against herself. Well done, dear, well done! That would certainly explain her lack of decisiveness and thinking...too many punches to her head.
Come on, LTL, give us ONE additional woman type. Evolution tells us there must be more types that what has been shown! LTL CVs have the skill and depth to weave wonderful characters, so apply it to a woman. Show women to be strong, even normal, without self-hating, self-sacrificing, suffering...they can have bad judgment, do all the things the men do. But give us a break from the Tedious and THOSE ANNOYING 3S's!
