"Tum nay jo meray saath kiya hai wo mein kabhi nahi bhool sakta Geet ' kabhi nahi ' kabhi nahi"
For a moment I saw a strange kind of vulnerability in the ever-controlled, ever-suave Maan Singh Khurrana. For moment I saw wetness in his eyes; for a moment I saw pain a need to cry in his eyes; for a moment I saw what I have dreaded the most in his eyes ' TEARS ' why I have dreaded the most, because I know, the day he will cry, the day he will break down, will be the day I will break down, I will cry, I will hurt, I will feel his every emotion, I will feel his every pain, I will feel his every impair.
He turned around and started walking away, but then he stopped suddenly. He thought she would stop him, he thought she would call for him, he thought she would once again run after him, but there was nothing from her except silence, and he couldn't take it. He had to look back, he just had to ....... And what he saw was killing .
She was falling down and it didn't matter to him then how angry he was, or how much pain she had given him, he had to run to her. He couldn't see her falling, he couldn't bear to see her in pain. His love was calling him, no matter how strongly he felt for his hateful emotions for her, his love would never leave his side; he couldn't resist the call of his love, he couldnt resist the power of his own emotions and ran to save her (yet again); held her in his arms and protected her once again. the look in his eyes "main tumhain kabhi koee dukh nahi aanay doon ga Geet, mein apnay pyar kay sab waday nibhaoon ga, apni har takleef mein tum mujhay hamesha apnay saath pao gi ... hamesha Geet ... hamesha."
And that's when my respect for him sky-rocketed; how can a man, sooo hurt in his love, soooo deeply wounded by a girl, sooo profoundly offended by her betrayal, can't see her in pain and despair. It was that one moment which changed my perception and my feelings for HIM ... that one moment when he was bleeding with his hurt, but all he cared for was to protect the woman who had hurt him THE MOST.
He held her in his arms, as if he was holding his own life and took her to the out-house. He knew she needed him and once again he forgot everything this lady had done to him. All he remembered was that she needed him, and he would stand by her today no matter what. And that's where my head bowed to him for the immensity of his heart and the magnitude of his timeless love for her.
She said those few words in her sleep ... she was mumbling and his expressions were changing. He knew right then how much she needs him as a friend, how much she needs him as a pillar of strong support in her life, and i felt as if he very silently agreed to be that pillar. (dont know what would happen tomorrow, but for that one moment, i could feel the acceptance in his eyes ... I will be there for you Geet ... mein tumhain chor kay kaisay ja sakta hoon .. tum mein tu meri zindagi basti hai Geet ....).
And then he realized she was wet. That could be dangerous for her and her baby (thats what he thought) and he immidiately knew she needed to change out of those wet clothes. He tried waking her, but in vain and finally decided to do it himself. Why he decided .. to me it was the right of his love for her, her need to get changed was way above anything for him.
He sat next to her, rested her head on his shoulder and very softly touched her back-lace, and at that moment my respect for him turned into worship, why? Because I see a silence in his eyes, a stillness, as if it was hurting him to his core to touch her like this in her unconsciousness. He was afraid, but forced to do so, he was terrified of what he was doing, but was obligated to do so and so he did - what was right - but the respect in his eyes for geet elated his respect in my heart.
And above all, the way he cared for the BABY ' he was sooo concerned about her pregnancy .. He mentioned it a hundred times that she is pregnant and needs to be taken care of. His unintentional, unintended, inadvertent care for that child he doesn't even know anything about was the icing on it all. I was mesmerized by him ... simply mesmerized.
