I agree that as a human you can have regrets ...
I agree that as a human you have to make choices where it's a no win situation ...
I agree that as a human you can love one, and be in love with another ...
I agree as a human, you can may marry one, and realize later that you made the wrong choice, that you're still in love with some one else ...
BUT
given what the CVs have shown thus far, R's character is supposed to be all about morality, values, upholding them, and doing the RIGHT thing. And given this situation, the RIGHT thing would be to be with the husband who not only loves her, but whom SHE FEELS A WHOLE LOT OF AFFECTION FOR ...
Now, as in Love aaj kal, when she realizes she made a mistake right after the marriage, I wanted to say to her 'you deserved to be tossed out' ... but in this case, R didn't just marry Sid ... she's been married, she's liked him for a while, she's had intimate moments with him, and she's fantasized about him ...
EVEN THEN, I'll give this to her ... when you see your past love with someone else, things come crashing. You have a sense of replacement, no matter how you well settled in life you are ... so ok, I'll give you that one too.
EVEN THEN, she can take some time off. She can cry on her hubby's shoulder. She can rue the day she made her choice, BUT SHE CAN NOT GO BACK.
The best way I can explain it ... I explained to my 8 yr old when he'd hit his younger bro that he had to deal with the consequences. He was sorry, truly, so I went easy on him but HE STILL HAD TO DEAL WITH IT. He had a choice, he was given a warning, he had time to think about it, and he choose to go with the option that he thought best. Now he has to deal with the consequences ... R also had some choices. She may regret her decision, but she has to deal with the consequences.
This IS a show, ANYTHING can happen, but SOMETHINGS have to make sense, atleast ...
Lastly - you mentioned that Ridzi should make a choice ... I smiled when I read that ...
Hasn't she been making that 'choice' for the last 8 months or so? I mean, really ... talk bout being indecisive, no?
She made the choice when A came back, then when the marriage to A was happening, then when she told A the first time that she's now Sid's wife, then when she told A the second time that A was her past, Sid's her present, then when she told A the third, fourth, fifth, ... 18870th time ... <cut to present> when she decided to remarry Sid ...
I mean, really, she HAS made that choice many times.
ALL this is, is a the CVs way to keep the trps. They tried AR, then SR, then ArSh, and if that aint working, someone started another rumor that the show might end, so they maybe trying AR again ..
IMHO, don't try to analyze ANY character on this show ... they're sooooooooooo far removed from reality, it's insulting to try to relate to them. Just w/in a span of a month, they'll show sooooo many inconsistencies in each character, your head will spin.
I loved AR, I still do. I loved Armaan's character, but they've been a bit ... brutal to him lately. I like the angry young man Armaan, but at this time, he's a bit more like the the incredible Hulk ...
I loved Sid's character, and they went a little crazy with him too. Too submissive, which is NOT at all like what he was the first few months he was breought in. And the way he's acting with his wife, that's is NOT how a husband ought to be. He needs to reign her in (if I'm saying that right) ... and he shouldn't have blamed A for all of it. The blame lies with Mrs. Modi ...
So far, I'm loving Shilpa Malhotra's character, but inconsistencies there have been popping up too ..
I've given up on this show, but it DOES hold the entertainment factor, just not the way the CVs mean for it to entertain :)
SOrry, went a bit off topic. I hear you about R, but I can't wholly - indecisiveness, regret, going back, all that is fine. But this madame is playing with hearts, and has been doing so for months. And she's shown to be the MOST stable, knows-her-mind, stubborn, and straight laced character on teh show ...
