Inexplicable lack of curiosity

There's been a lot of argument on this topic in another thread which was finally closed by the mods as there was much name calling especially against poor ole Maan.

The thing is, Maan was completely blindsided by Geet's revelation. He, poor soul, was expecting to hear a fervent I Love You.

Instead, it was, I Am Pregnant!

I'm surprised he didn't faint then and there.

I suppose his walking away silently only emphasizes how deeply hit he was by the revelation.

What I can't understand is his complete lack of curiosity earlier....he ought to have wondered what caused Brij to take such a drastic step as to kill Geet.

He never broached the topic, not even during the second trip to hoshiyarpur....when he said that he won't let her past affect as long as he's alive.

he isnt shown to be a curious person....he's never been....in the sequence whn maaneet were stuck in the office, geet was about to tell him...but he said no need as what hurts her she shouldnt think about it....he wasnt curious...
the bit bout gurwinder he also assumed but was wrong when geet told him...he always assumes stuff he never ask questions...
i dunno what he'll do now...but his walking away is natural...i dont think after this shocking news he can be curious, he'll assume something as he always does...but m hoping for the best!! after all he loves her 😊 waiting for tom...
