To Love Again - Part 21

Geet was stunned by the way Maan was looking at the tiny being moving freely inside her. Her eyes became moist with tears. Tears of happiness. She wanted this moment to last forever. She wanted to remain on that spot forever. Maan touched the screen as if he was touching the tiny baby. He took the CD and was forced to freeze on his step by seeing Geet who was observing his actions. She was lost and he knew it from the look at her eyes. He walked to her and shook her gently 'Geet, what's wrong?' he was concerned about her. 'nothing..actually I was..sorry.Maan.' she couldn't express what she wanted, which confused him more. He held her face by his hands and looked at her'Geet, now tell me, what's wrong?' She saw the plead and concern in his eyes 'nothing.I was watching that'she didn't know how to tell the feelings she has right now. He made her sit on the bed and lean against the pillows and put the soft quilt on her. 'Geet, you need to rest, that means no walking, complete stay in bed. If you need anything please tell me, I'm here for you' he was so right at his words. He was always beside her. When ever she let her hands out he holds it with more love and care.

The worst thing Maan learned about pregnancy was vomiting. Ahh!He felt awkward by thinking about it. It won't be an easy thing to bear. Did Geet vomit? Of course she had. His heart-ache increased with the thought of Geet vomiting. How difficult it would have been to her, vomiting all the time and being so weak. Why hasn't he seen her vomiting any of the time? He held his head by his hands. This is way too much for Geet to bear, he murmured to himself. If this is the case, then he prefer not to have kids, because he won't be able to see her suffer. He walked into the room and saw her dried lips. So, Geet has vomited, he concluded. He wanted to stop himself from disturbing her but he was crazy to know whether she vomitted. He traced her dry lips with his fingers and said 'I'm sorry Geet, I wish I could ease your pain, I'm so sorry' he rested on her. She opened her eyes as she felt his weight and asked 'Maan? what's the matter now?' He raised his head and clarified 'Geet be honest and tell me, did you vomit?' 'Oh! Mr.Maan Sigh Khurana, you are telling me to rest, at the same time coming and disturbing me?'she giggled in her unique style. He became more confused thinking that she has gone crazy. He was worried like a crazy lover, but she was laughing at him? 'Geet. this isn't funny answer me' he asked in his firm manner. 'oh! I think that you had a bad dream because I don't remember the last time I vomitted' as she completed her sentence she tasted bitterness in her mouth and throat. Maan noticed this changed in her and was ready to follow her when she ran into the washroom. He held her like a mother would hold her baby as she vomitted and cleaned her face and mouth, though he hated the smell. He lifted and carried her to the bed without giving her a chance to take a turn. 'Maan, you can't always be with me, you need to work and take care of yourself as well, I should take care of myself on my own' he put a finger on her lips to stop her.He fed her some pickles as adviced by Daadi to make her have a better taste.

Doctor Sujit called Maan at night to see what was wrong as he had called doctor many times in the evening. 'I'm sorry Mr. Khurana, I was busy with a surgery' he explained why he couldn't answer. 'It's ok doctor' without going into it Maan clarified what made him so desperate. He had a grin as he ended the call, thinking that he was making everything as such a big issue. Never mind. It was a relief to know that vomiting isn't a problem during pregnancy, but is a good sign. He threw himself onto bed and slowly kissed on Geet's forehead before he embraced her in his arms. She responded him even in her sleep. She moaned and dug her face into his chest. He felt a sudden awakening in his body but thinking of the situation she went through, he wanted her to sleep. He didn't know when he slept as he spent so much time thinking about the tiny little
thing he saw in the afternoon.

He woke up when his cell phone disturbed him at dawn and found that Geet wasn't in the bed. He lit the room bright and there was no sign of Ms.Hoshiyarpur Express. He jumped out of the bed and saw that the door was still locked and stopped at the door step of his bath room. 'main kyaa karun raam mujhe buddha mil gayaa..haay, haay buddha mil gayaa..' he heard her singing. Oh!God!What is wrong with this silly girl? Has she gone mad? Am I that old? He banged at the door and called her'Geet...Geet..' Her singing stopped at once but her very famous self talk started 'hey Babaji..What am I going to do now?' She shrugged her shoulders and answered him with much confidence 'yes, Maan. I will be coming out soon, then we can talk'. He sat on the bed thinking about what to do with her craziness. She came out in a bathrobe with water still running from her curly hair. He forgot everything and got up from the bed unintentionally and moved towards her as if she was a magnet. She stood there still looking at his eyes longing for his touches. He touched her wet hair making it to leave her beautiful face and move her towards the bed. He made her to sit on the bed and went into the bathroom leaving her alone to control her emotions within her.

She went to the office before him and the office staff were shocked to see her there, alone. She greeted everyone and headed towards her cabin. She was only able to sit on the chair, her phone startled her. 'Hello' Geet answered the call and covered the receiver by her free hand. 'hey Babaji, Maan is really angry' she put down the phone and slowly headed to meet her boss. 'May I come in?' she stopped at the door and waited for his answer 'hmm ' he didn't even dare to look at her. She knew that he was really mad at her. He ran towards her and grabbed her firm to himself 'Geet, what do you think of your self? This office won't run without you? Two days back you fought against lives and now you are here? How could you do it? At least for the baby you could have taken care of yourself..you didn't have your breakfast and came here before me? Geet..How could you?' There was a knock at the door and Adi stood there with a file. 'hahahahahahahaha Morning Sir, important documents to be signed' he kept the file on the table and waited. 'Adi, you make leave now, I will call you in a while' Maan sent him out and looked at the teary-eyed Geet. 'I'm sorry Geet' he showed her a chair to sit. She sat down like an innocent kid who was about to listen to the lecture of her teacher. She appologised to him, for which he couldn't resist without accepting it and he agreed her to work with him 'I have a condition, you have to be in my cabin with me, so that I could keep an eye on you, if not you have to stay at home' he smiled at her helplessness.
