True, he slapped her and was violent with her a few times. But over time, there has been a gradual change in him. I am glad that the change has been gradual. Since the incident in the court where he found out the Prats lied to him, there has been a maturity to him. Realizing that Prats did not love him, that he in a way forced her to marry him, and his parents' treatment of her and her father have made him see everything in a different light than before. I am glad that he has matured - he no longer trusts anyone readily, including his parents which is a good thing.
