I'd say probability. Though the odds of the universe being formed by sheer chance is terribly small, it's not impossible. Given an infinite amount of time, something or the other had to happen. If the universe had not formed, or life never evolved/existed, then we wouldn't be here to even ask this question.
time can't be infinite before today otherwise today wouldn't exist. since today exists, number of days before today is countable. plus the proof points to 13-14 billion years in the past.
probability is OK but doesn't explain the order in this universe; unless it is part of a multiverse and of all the possible universes with order, this universe is one of them.
too much happened during the transition from simple elements to amino acids to proteins to DNA. attributing all that to chance is a very hard pill to swallow.
