I understand your desire to see the original leads to unite. Even though we sound little 'hypocrite' in our stands vis. a vis. fiction and reality, we do watch the soaps for entertainment and not social learning isn't it?

I watched the last episode. (What to do! As a friend cynically taunted, "de-addiction is deservedly 'slow' for a one guilty of deliberate plunge in the first place-T.V. soaps!")

So they are going ahead with the plans. What interested me is Shravni part. Did you see, she is always on the border-well planned 'villainy' of the softest kind- almost always rational and pertinent, just on verge of making the leads to fall into some moral mistakes, jostling them into the bouts of self-guilt trip for an F to refute folly. She'd be assigned hard hitting dialogues- a few sensible ones that remains and viewers had to grudgingly agree- most of the time more sensible then to those clichd ones assigned to the leads.

Why are they scripting this way? I think, this help them perpetuation, a skill they have mastered. Previously they were coming up with the clear black gourds, the villains of only one shade. But that would exhaust them of the 'obstacle' options- for they have to show resolutions sooner then later. Else they would be quickly identified with the evil for showing continuous victories of evil and viewers would drop them fast. In this new kind of' victim villains', the leads themselves help them create obstacles and thereby help them suspend the resolutions.

But this scheme is leading to a serious compromise of the leads. We can't stay sympathized to them for a long time and stop liking them. (Actually this too must be suitable to the producers. This will keep the lead actors in check and no one would grow too much out of their shoes, or out under from Her shoes!). So far so good. Only thing that taints the picture is viewer frustration and exhaustion. For most of the time we listened to a tale for Heroics and not for artificially glorified villains. And this ought to lead to gradual exodus- some sooner and some later.

At that, I feel incomplete to leave some important thanks unsaid…
