For once, in defiance to the rationality's dictate to stay away from commenting on 'irrationals', a two or 'three' uncalled cents on some 'favourites' and 'worthies' of PR. ( already blushing) :
.) Shravni: The 'old' and not so old Dahling of PR, She had achieved something extra ordinary- motherhood and hence absolutely untouchable. The Heroes and Heroines would be trembling with anxiety over her pleasures- just her presence would be sufficient to fumble them into unthinkable promises and actions which would paralyze every one down the line, right up to the viewers. And she'd start exacting all the promises with the innocence of a 'victim'- regally shifting the target of her muses over to a hapless 'bonded one' (never mind that the promise itself was extracted almost as a blackmail) - and in the process, conveniently discarding any uncomfortable memories of a 'dead man'- after all isn't she entitled to the pleasures of a lively living being? Never mind that pleasures is sought from the one who is almost nauseated at even the thought of the 'possibility', never mind that he is haplessly pining for someone else. Convenience is her great forte. Conveniently she would become pliable when the daddy dear breaks the betrothal over the question of some serious social reputation considerations and that too with a lover with whom she did have some colourful involvements prior to the marriage (oh! So 'illiberal' even to mention). But conveniently she would become tower of strength when a mammal's maternal instincts are challenged. Then again conveniently she becomes vulnerable when the time of extracting promises have arrived- most humane. Conveniently she will let a marriage, with all clear signs- on a path of mending, to go down the drain over her cause, after all isn't she promised on scarlet letters? And yes, in bet'n do throw out some very humane emotions, convenient tidbits of sweetness towards all harmless people and some very logical and pertinent questions about self victimization- truly a great lady, the torch bearer and real Heroine of the tale.
.) Rasika: Another great one of PR Land- Rasika the scarecrow. But at least she is shining with one 'virtue'-isn't she consistent? Yes consistency is her forte and her pleasure lies in plotting the ruins of K daughters, never mind that it may lead to the ruin of her own daughter (considering the 'uprightness' of the Damaad concerned). One perplexity lingers- how such a courageous prima donna could ever be blackmailed over a mere post of Mahila Samiti. But at least she has been avenged for the viewers to an extent.
.) Manjusha: The perennial lucky escaper is another great victor of PR land-a knight with shining armor of colorful nails, she can get away with any and all- after all she is the only 'breeder' of the K clan. Her pleasure is in rushing to police stations or forging alliances with evil MILs or attempting stupidest kind of family slavery. Also her pleasure lies in constantly plotting to tuck away the son of the family-not so abnormal instinct but only one, she is always failing in, for all her escapades with not so normal activities.
.) Dharmesh: This August one simply defies the 'logic'- a 'great mind' with equally great worth and girth. Of him I'd already ranted somewhere else and continue to be bewildered with my limited mind and exposure. But an exposure, sufficient to make me bow to him with incredulity. The great business man continues to take pleasures in cut off dialogues, rudeness, preponderance and languorous sumo tactics in dismissals of Archanas and Manavs. Truly a god sent grace to Vaishali and Karanjikars. And yes 'pragmatism' scripted so realistically-almost art.
