I also did not like abhi slapping mili. But hten I do agree with kalyani. Abhi loves simi so much and thought of loosing her can give a shock to any one . Just like Simi thought Nakul could have killed abhi and went in state of shock and slapped him.

How can at this point of time abhi think rationally. Agreed slapping mili is not going to make the situation any bettter, but right now he is overcome with extreme fear and anger, who would not be if u think your loved ones life is in danger. I was only justifying the slap that came from Abhi in his present state of mind, not that it resolves anything. Compared to the mental torture that mili put him thru this slap is nothing.

Dont ever expect KAnika and Astha to come up with a better explanation for actions.

If u are really interested in watching the show change for the better take out a petition to get these junk writers removed and the old writers back as Laila suggested or even new ones. A collective voice is always better heard. I do not know if ever such a petition has been taken out in the past.

Who said slapping resolves anything? I am saying Abhi was justified in doing so. She deserved it. Why was milli making faces and not answering his questions? Even if he tried shaking her or shouting louder he used his prior knowledge of her acts and knew it would not help. He had to do something to make her talk.

slapping someone lets out your anger on that person. and we are not in some perfect world where milli will turn good because she recieved help. she deserved it.

Please read this thread again if i have stated anywhere that you stated that slapping will resolve issues. And if you did not state that, then why worry if it was meant for you. Read again if I stated that you said so.

If jokes cannot be read through, I understand you are having issues with it. And its my choice again to say Abhi can bundle her off. You being fine with it or not is just your opinion as I am entitled to mine.

And to think rationally, I dont expect either. If Abhi or Simi were expected to think rationally, Mili's behaviour should have been first reported to her parents and currently her good -for- nothing husband. So no rational thoughts involved here.

Mesimi i did read the post again and yes i agree your comments were not directly addressed to me . As for whether Mili deserved the slap or not I agree with shankar since at that point it was more about Abhi and his fear for the life of his loved one Simi. Everyone here knows and agrees mili needs help but at that moment precisely Abhi would not have been able to carry her off to a doctor.

If mili robbing Abhi is anything and making him look like liar, irresoinsible infidel, disloyal justified than why not abhi slapping her.

Slapping is not done to change a person. Abhi has not slapped mili to chnage her. It was a reaction of what she had put him thru.

abhi considers himself an elder of teh family with the position he is and felt he had a right to punish mili for what she is doing to him and his beloved Simi. Abhi knows Simi has no sense and she is gullible fool and he feels he has to protect her.

If mili can show overpowering abhi by emotional blackmail and threats, what is wrong in abhi showing his muscle to her.

I would never ever promote violence. espeically a jija hittng a sali.

But then there are exceptions. Abhi can slap mili

1. to make her understand that she can not treat abhi and Simi this way because they are elders and she will not get away hurting his Simi in nay way.

2. If mili can show her sickness Abhi can show his power

3. Abhi has considered mili his best friend and friend has a right to hit friend if she becomes trashy

4. What abhi did to mili was reaction in anger as she thought Mili did something to Simi.

5. as a father figure abhi has as much right to hit mili as simi does because abhi has conforted mili same way when she was upset. Abhi always felt close to mili and thought he can show her true path.

It wasn't jija hitting sali but it as a friend hitting a friend, a father figure hitting a younger irresponsible sibling.

And by no means Abhi looked bad as mili deserved it and more. As mili felt no one can stop her and Abhi loves her despite all he is doing to him and Simi.

This is SUCH a MONUMENTALLY, COLOSSALLY, UNBELIEVABLY STOOPID and IMBECILIC statement, that it makes me actually want to try slapping this individual to see if he/she could have some sense knocked into them .. I'll bet almost my bottom dollar it won't .. just as it does not in real life ..
