Evil bua now seen in 'Jane Pehchane..'-Shagufta

Shagufta Ali has recently entered Jaane Pehchane Se Ye Ajnabbi as Dhruv's grandmother. She plays a witty, fun and lively Daadi who promises to add excitement to the show.

Shagufta is also be seen in a cameo in Dill Mill Gayye. She speaks about both the roles.

What made you accept the role of Shilpa's maasi?

My role in Dill Mill Gayye was very short. I shot just for a day but it was fun. I accepted it because I liked the character of Maasi.

How was the experience of working with Shilpa (Shilpa Anand) and Armaan (Karan Singh Grover)?

It was nice shooting with Shilpa. Karan's scenes were shot later so I did not get to interact with him.

What was the most exciting part of playing Dhruv's Daadi in Jaane Pehchane Se Ye Ajnabbi?

I loved the role because of Daadi's rapport with her grandson Dhruv. It is a funny and lively character and very enjoyable to play.

Will you create complications in Dhruv and Ayesha's life by forcing them to get married?

Yes! Dhruv and Ayesha were pretending to be engaged but I think that they are really a couple. I will pressurize them to get married in the forthcoming episodes. This will create many exciting and funny situations on the show.

How was the experience of working with the cast of Jaane Pehchane Se Ye Ajnabbi?

I have worked with Mihir Mishra before so I was very comfortable working with him. I have never worked with Siddharth, Sanjeeda and Karishma and even the director of the show, so on the first day it was a little awkward but now they have become like family.

You are playing a lively and fun role in Jaane Pehchane Se Ye Ajnabbi? Do you prefer such roles to serious ones?

I like all kinds of roles. As an actor I try to keep experimenting. Yes I am enjoying this role but if I am offered a serious role that is good then I will accept it.

Yes Eid and Ganesh Chaturthi are coming soon and I am looking forward to both. I plan to visit my good friend Manjeet and other friends who bring Ganeshji to their home.
