Shweta's Beauty Tips
Shweta Gulati beleives that beauty is all about being comfortable in your own skin. Furthermore, she says that natural beauty and makeup are all okay dependant on what one is comfortable with. She personally doesn't believe in a lot of makeup, but if someone thinks they can look beautiful with make up then there is no harm in it. It depends on each person, and what works for them. As long as it works in the end, it is fine. Her beauty regime consists of sleep, eating well, and working out once in awhile. Indeed healthy diet is needed to look beautiful and healthy, as it shows on your face and body. Moreover, along with a healthy diet, one needs to have a disciplined lifestyle.
Shweta's tips for great skin include drinking lots of water, sleeping well, eating right, and no drugs, alcohol, or smoking. Most importantly, water is very important for great skin. Coconut water is especially very good as it contains many minerals.
She does admit that looking beautiful requires effort. One cannot get results without doing any hard work.
In terms of beauty products, her current favourite is olive oil! She recently discovered it, and she puts it on regularly each night. In the morning she wakes up with a beautiful glow, as the oil takes care of her dry skin and gives her face a shine. Her favourite make up brand is Macs Cosmetics, and she uses their lipstick and kajal. For face creams, she prefers Christine Dior as it has some fabulous creams, especially for under the eyes.
She does wish that she did not have to wax like many other women. Shweta thinks that if women did not have unwanted hair, then waxing every now and then could be avoided.
When asked about beautiful actresses on television, she said Yami Gautum for her nice features and beautiful smile. Nonetheless she does not think that television and movies give a wrong image of beauty. It all depends on the viewer's perception. Plus many actresses on television are not thin. A good example is Ankita Lokhande who is not thin, but she looks beautiful on screen. It all depends on what girls want from themselves. The important question is if one is happy and healthy. Girls shouldn't get into a competition with others or try to be a size zero. One should just be healthy, and happy with who they are. Nevertheless, she does feel that some actresses on television are quite skinny and lanky. When she did the red carpet for Gold Awards, she was quite shocked with some of the actresses she met. Indian women are supposed to be curvaceous and healthy. One can't be walking around like a skeleton or some dead meat.
Hence it is no surprise that Shweta does not believe in starvation. She says one should eat five meals a day, albeit in small quantities. According to her, there is no point in starving yourself, since starvation makes you deprive your body of required nutrients and moisture. This will then show on your face and body, and one will appear quite pale and dead. It is important to eat right, and to eat around four to five meals a day.
In conclusion, she hoped young girls listen to her advice and just eat right.
