Interesting: Kala-Dutta scene

So who else found the Kala-Dutta scene interesting? Till now we have always seen Kala playing the adoring elder sister or protective elder sister to Dutta in front of him. But today Kala smartly changed her stance. She realized that for Dutta the pull of Naku's love has become stronger than his love for her. Its whatever she feared came true...once married his relationship with his wife would take precedence. But she pretended to be happy if he was happy. Then she subtly tried to remind him of what had happened for the past few days. Also said that if he has forgiven Naku then she should too...again reminding him of Naku's betrayal.

i agree with u Shreya..kala was again trying to read dutta's mind..even though she is sure that nakku has won his heart she was still trying to get an assurance from dutta if he loves her...

and dutta has been so sweet and diplomatic.."agar aap khush hain to mein bhi khush hoon"...he handles women so nicely.. 😍

and yes i agree with u that she was trying to remind him about nakku's betrayal , was trying to know is he has forgiven her???...i think she was probably trying to know what happened in the jungle track...she wanted to also know if dutta knows that nakku was not a part of sups elopement...is it that nakku told dutta that she was never in the elopement track or is it that dutta has forgiven her???she also said .."mejhe bhi muaaf karna chahiye..(meaning nakku as done a mistake) and then again said, bohot badal gaya hai tu bhao"..and trying to read his face there..seeing if he is aware of the change in him??...u have changed bhao..u have not listened to ur elder sis for the first time!!

if he has 'forgiven'(meaning she has done a mistake for which he forgave her) her and if he still has a DOUBT that nakku was once a betrayer then this will be the weak point..she will hold onto this and will keep reminding him abt the betrayal till her face is revealed and also after that!...so it was a good way to read dutta's mind...but dutta was neutral..never let his feelings out!!! he only shares his feelings with nakku..with every1 else he maintains a distance!!😆

u are right...kala really tried to manipulate dutta again but this time he was really diplomatic...he did not let on to kala what was in his mind

So yes in that scene she was subtly trying to find out what's going on in Dutta's mind while showing him that she has accepted Naku so he would be relieved on her accont as far as Naku i concerned. That will give her time to judge the situation, regroup and act acordingly.

thats true Shreya!! dada's words are running in his mind and also subbu has assured him...kala knows that dutta loves her but one thing she wants to know that at least does dutta believe that nakku HAD ONCE committed a mistake? or has she been successful in removing this doubt and convincing dutta that she is innocent?

Shreya she has become smarter but still i felt that dutta was understanding what she meant..mujhe aisa laga that he was trying to be sweet but knew what she has in mind.. 😕 ..he was being diplomatic there...did anyone else feel that?? 😕

Hey shreya.. u posted just what I had in mind.. I had exaaactly the same thoughts that he is not letting anyone know what is on his mind but subtly letting kala know that now he will decide his relationship with nakku.. great minds think alike hey!

loved the dialogue.. ' aaj meine zindagi mein pehli baar teri baat nahi maani aur nakusha ko bachaane gaya, PAR Mujhe Jaana Hi Tha!!!

That sort of summed up the whole scene for me.

I really liked that Scene and went back to watch it again (after I'd watched the TaSha Scene thousands of times)

Everytime we talk of Kala lately, I really, really wonder at her insanity, she is totally disassociated with reality...only focused on Bhao. She needs to get out of the house...do something with her life...and her husband...and her child, for god's sake!

But, yes, I think Bhao wanted to help "ease her in" to his decision...that is to make Naku his wife not only in name. He senses her hatred of Naku...but I don't think he FULLY GRASPS the evil feelings / premeditation that Kala has as far as Naku is concerned.

I mean I was peeved when Kala said Naku is a naukrani. Yes, but she loves your brother deeply and for all the right reasons. That is one thing that makes Naku singularly beautiful-- her love for Dutta. And noone in that house feels that for anybody it seems. So naukrani, paukrani...wth cares? I'm sure just as Kala learned to dress nicely, apply that mask of makeup everyday, look like she's going to a party everyday, chandelier earrings and all--Naku will set her own style based on her own values and judgment. Kala forgets she came from a touch financial background. This forced snobbery is a bit tiring for me as a viewer though.
