How should Baaji address Dutta "aap" ya "tum" ?
As per my habbit was watching today's episode for like 10 th time or so 😆 and noticed that in the last scene, Baaji while talking to Dutta uses "Yeh mangalsutra TERE haath mein?" and then after a couple of lines says "Mereko aisa lagtha hai ......AAP ko nahin lagtha?".

I go with option 3.
In some parts of India and maybe Pakistan regardless of your age difference folks are addressed with primarily "Aap". The reason for that is to show respect. "Tum" is seldom used and "Tu" is considered very rude even when used with somebody very much younger. I was raised never to use the word "Tu". Now in the case of Baaji I think the reason he uses both is primarily because Dutta is not only his pal but also sort of his boss (senior). Depending on the mood and topic of discussion Baaji switches between the two.
Anu now you are really cracking me up - just too much. I guess I am too busy looking (*drooling*) at Dutta and his marvelous expressions that I don't realize that Baaji is switching between the two. I guess the dialogues become a blur. In the case of Baaji if you notice his relationship with Dutta also swings - sometimes very serious and sometimes very pal like. Remember in one of the previous episodes the scene when Baaji was upset with Dutta for shoving Nakku. He was very formal with him but at the same time when Baaji is in a very friendly mood he addresses Dutta differently.Originally posted by: Anu-Reddy
Ruby Iam fine with he sticking to "aap" in that case .Ssly I have never seen anyone in my real life or in reel world use both for the same person. He can go with "aap" and be consistent. If he wants to treat Dutta as his boss then fine "aap" it is...........and if he wants Dutta to be treated as his friend then let him use "tum" . Why swing between them?. It just distracts me pretty badly. I personally form an opinion between two characters based on their conversation so here I get confused listening to these two ppls convo. Why jumble it up? Why not stick to one?. No one in LTL does that if u notice. Everyone either call Dutta "aap" or "tu"........... I want Baaji to stick to one thing, I hate this stupid distraction 😆. Whenever I hear this kind of confusing stuff I stop thinking abt the show and story and start wondering abt the lines 😆
