As per my habbit was watching today's episode for like 10 th time or so 😆 and noticed that in the last scene, Baaji while talking to Dutta uses "Yeh mangalsutra TERE haath mein?" and then after a couple of lines says "Mereko aisa lagtha hai ......AAP ko nahin lagtha?".

This is not the first time I noticed this and I had this going on in my mind for quite sometime. Baaji and Dutta are childhood friends, they are of almost the same age.........ya ok baaji is one yr younger , phir bhi .......almost of the same age. When one tends to grow up with a person , a friend , we tend to show loads of love and very little respect. I personally have some aise friends and family members and I use a "tum" or a "tu" instead of "aap". So I would want Baaji to stick to "tum" instead of "aap". I personally feel that "Aap" kind of creates a distance between the two ppl involved or let me rephrase, it doesnt sound as close as a "tum" or "tu" does. Its good one uses that to show respect but then do we really want Baaji to respect Dutta in the way he addresses? . Respect dil mein hothi hai..........and we all know that Baaji understands how strong of a character Dutta is. Good enuf, he need not call Dutta "aap" . They both know each other inside out and are of the same age group and thick friends.
Anyways I'm confused with this Baaji's addressing Dutta wala issue. Do let me know what u think of it. I know its a silly poll and it doesnt matter but then Iam getting distracted because of this talk from baaji and I want him to stick to one .......... either "aap" or a "tum" .......... no mix and match pls 😆 .
Is Anil confused too ? Why is baaji swinging like a pendulum between "aap" and "tum" ?? 😆. Bas ek word ko lock kardo aur mera yeh confusion dhoor kardo 😆 .
Jks apart, select ur choice friends and do let me know ur views on this issue. I might be totally off here........ I somehow hate the "aap" word😆, I in my day to day life use it only for ppl who I want to keep at a distance 😆 .

In some parts of India and maybe Pakistan regardless of your age difference folks are addressed with primarily "Aap". The reason for that is to show respect. "Tum" is seldom used and "Tu" is considered very rude even when used with somebody very much younger. I was raised never to use the word "Tu". Now in the case of Baaji I think the reason he uses both is primarily because Dutta is not only his pal but also sort of his boss (senior). Depending on the mood and topic of discussion Baaji switches between the two.

Ruby Iam fine with he sticking to "aap" in that case .Ssly I have never seen anyone in my real life or in reel world use both for the same person. He can go with "aap" and be consistent. If he wants to treat Dutta as his boss then fine "aap" it is...........and if he wants Dutta to be treated as his friend then let him use "tum" . Why swing between them?. It just distracts me pretty badly. I personally form an opinion between two characters based on their conversation so here I get confused listening to these two ppls convo. Why jumble it up? Why not stick to one?. No one in LTL does that if u notice. Everyone either call Dutta "aap" or "tu"........... I want Baaji to stick to one thing, I hate this stupid distraction 😆. Whenever I hear this kind of confusing stuff I stop thinking abt the show and story and start wondering abt the lines 😆

Anu now you are really cracking me up - just too much. I guess I am too busy looking (*drooling*) at Dutta and his marvelous expressions that I don't realize that Baaji is switching between the two. I guess the dialogues become a blur. In the case of Baaji if you notice his relationship with Dutta also swings - sometimes very serious and sometimes very pal like. Remember in one of the previous episodes the scene when Baaji was upset with Dutta for shoving Nakku. He was very formal with him but at the same time when Baaji is in a very friendly mood he addresses Dutta differently.

To Baji Dutta represents several relationships at different times. Most of the times he is an elder brother...sometimes he is a boss and sometimes he is a friend. Generally when he speaks to Dutta as a sub-ordinate he speaks with 'aap'. Also when at a personal level when he feels he is speaking something Dutta may not like he says 'aap'. Otherwise he says tum.

Anu u noticed it huh?
Actually I feel he says TUM coz of the long relationship he has shared with Dutta but the AAP comes coz of the maybe the respect or the name "Bhau" which Dutta has gained all the yrs. could be coz of tat Baji keeps jumping between tum and aap

Anu i think it was just a slip..They are gr8 buddies we know that but infront of other ppl he calls him "aap" just to give him more respect and to give others the same impression..

so to me it was a slip ... and i prefer him calling TUm/ tu when they are not among strangers.
