Meera di
There is a double standard here. Krishna is unpud, Lawyerwa is educated. Krishna was a Takur, gunda, gawar, jaheel in their minds. Prof. thought Krishna was a great guy when he first met him, praised him to his face and to his family. But the minute he started following Prats he became a villain in their eyes. Did they ever get to know him or even want to? Nope! He hasn't been invited into the home for a meal. The one he got on the terrace, he had to ask Prats if she cared wheteher he ate or not.
Here we have Aman who is educated, they don't know anything about him other than the represented Prof. and got him free. Truth is he was failing miserably in the courtroom until Prats stood up and confessed to the kidnapping that sent her marriage downhill very fast. They don't know a thing about Aman other than he offered to represent Shamu and we just don't know yet what they are going to say to him next week but sure seems they have accepted the proposal without much thought based on the precap. If we look at the hypocrisy of the Saxsena incident by incident it may turn out to be a short story not a post.đđ
Meera di I understand your POV and I agree one must get all of the background information on an individual before accepting a marriage proposal because it is not a joke but a choice that will affect your child for the rest of their lives. I was just pointing out the fact that it would not be strange if the Saxena's assumed his family was good I still remember how they assumed Krishna hailed from a good family background on just their first meeting.Originally posted by: Binny1247
I understand your POV about the Saxes treating Krishna poorly initially. But consider this. They were so ready to judge him that once he became damadh they didn't so much as invite him over for a cup of chai. Even when he came to visit her at her maike he got served a meal on the terrace that too after he asked Prats if it mattered to her at all. Here they are tripping over their feet offering Aman chai and nashtha and now I presume their daughter too. đI have seen many a family where the damadh was a great guy and his family turned out to be a nightmare (much like Prats's situation) and when parents got their daughter's married bec' the family was great and well respected in society only the guy turned out to be a nightmare, abusive and a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Some guys put on a great public front but they save their abuse for behind closed doors. Many of them hide behind their education too. Simply bec' Aman represented Prof. doesn't mean one gets their daughter married off to the guy out of gratitude.(notice I didn't say got him acquitted, bec' he failed in his job as lawyerwa, Prats got her father off the hook and paid the price with the face painting and Krishna's current state).Their hypocrisy shows again in the case of Adarsh and Komal. Adarsh gave a big speech (actually a small oneđ) at his wedding about husband and wife mei chote bade nahi hote, is rishte mei barabari ho tho achcha hoga. But the way they have treated Komal since she came into that family has been terrible. For all their sanskaari ways and the pamphlet Prats and Adarsh read during their weddings, Krishna and Komal have done more to be true to their wedding vows than Prats and Adarsh ever were. Why didnt' Prof. tell his children to get over the revenge nonsense in their marriages? On some level he must have liked the children making the Takurs pay, look at how he took his rage at SS on Komal.Whatever hsi justifications Prof. has to face up to the fact that it was his vachan from Prats that led to her almost losing Krishna for good. Amma was right to point out that the Saxsenas were happily riding the revenge tractor all these months. Everyone of them stood there with a guilt ridden face for they knew she had spoken the truth.I want to see what happens this coming week. As parents if the Saxes don't wonder why Aman would want to marry their daughter out of the blue, I will seriously question their judgment not that I don't already on several scores. đ The way they treat Krishna vs. Aman will be a contrast that will definitely noticed by the Takur siblings. I hope Krishna doesn't take any more crap from his sasural. They need to learn a thing or two about sanskaar that they forget to learn. One thing about Friday's episode that was quite bizarre was Aman in the car telling Arushi "if only I could spend all my life or time with you" under his breath. This dude is đ. Something is not adding up here.đ
