Credit cards or plastic money has become a part of our lives now. It is convenient as you dont have to carry all that cash while shopping or travelling. It also gives you some flexibility as you can buy something now and pay later . Or wait ! Is that a problem as you cannot keep track of what you spent ? Some ppl are dead against credit cards as they feel that it damages the financial health of aperson.
What is your opinion 😛

oh yeah totally , credit cards are awful lol... also the banks give settlement and they carry the waived amount and charge interest :O
many banks did that, my dad asked them why, so they apologised and removed it, made it 0 dues. Only Standard charted bank didn't do it, so my dad is thinkin of suing them for defamation 😉 The lame thing is they say we don't owe them anything, but want some money in return of the zero dues 😕 Is that possible? Is it possible for someone to not owe someone anything, given that someone acknowledges them not owing anything but yet shouting out to people that they have not been repaid? 😕

Also some people complain of ppl using other people's cards and running up huge dues ...

I have a debit card... it's my money

Lot of banks keep making pesky calls to promote their cards .😡 Its quite a bother at times. I prefer to pay in cash than pay interest unneccesarily .😊

I use credit card for convenience. I find them really helpful for online shopping and travelling. I am against exposing my debit card in public and carrying hefty cash is another big no no. So I generally use credit card for shopping.
Also I try to keep track of my expenditures and except there is real need I dont like to go overboard i.e. I dont spend more than my salary in a month. So for me credit card is a good option

Over spending, Debt trap. Its asking for trouble and getting it if you let the credit cards control you.

Personally, prefer Debit cards any day. As for online shopping, banks offer single use CCs, so its not much of a problem.

Good points brought everyone !😛 I myself dont feel very comfortable handling credit cards 😆
OBJ is right about the banks charging money for zero dues. So is sunny about pesky calls. I once gave in to one such very persuasive caller who said there would be no hidden costs but later asked for processing fee and some other dues even though I hadnt used the card 😕 I later got it cancelled after a no. of calls and correspondence !
Rimpa is right about the convenience part esp with online shopping 😊
Eventide has rightly warned of the debt trap .
