India's education system puts way too much pressure on kids, and even their parents.

I hate how NRI's are portrayed. My manners and values are so much better than half of those of my cousins in India, despite living in the US of A all my life. I love serials, Indian clothing, jewellery, and food so much. While my cousins in India are complete opposites. Why do they want to follow the USA, UK, and Europe so much? I also hate how NRI's are portrayed as shallow, selfish, un-respectful people. In reality, that is so wrong! All of my cousins wear jeans, t-shirts, skirts, dresses, etc. in India. While I'm in India, I dish out all of my salwar suits, kurtis, sarees, and jewellery. Grr...

heck but India definately has a better education system...padne ke liye abroad kyun? jab saare bright minded log India main hai

anyways I agree with Zahra😆 (if I can call you by your name😳)why is always the US? why cant it be Japan?😉 Japan is more technologically advanced than US anyways😛....OR Spain...(my dream place😍)

Yeah exactly! It's because our parents try even harder than most parents to keep us rooted to Indian culture because we live SO far away from India..Btw, I'm born in India and living in the US too😃
India's education system is pretty good too, it's just that movies and TV make it seem bad because everybody always seems to getting sent abroad for studies..but even then, most people I know who go abroad for their studies do it for college or masters, and most parents move abroad because of a job. But the Indian education system puts a lot of pressure on the kid to do well..
Canada, France, and the Asian countries like Singapore have very good education systems as well. I believe England does too. Also, education is not praiseworthy everywhere in America, like LA for example. It really depends on where you are.
Lols it's because if they say "I'm sending Anurag to Japan for studies"
The audience is going to be like "What the...???"😕😆

Maybe because it is costly and prestigious? 😕
Indians always think that America is something like heaven and they're ready to give their daughters even if the boy is just a beggar there... 😆

what I meant o say is that the way they teach is SO much different than US......and they get the job done...and yes I do agree that the system there is flawed....but in movies and stuff they exaggerate it too much... like in 3 Idiots....yeah people do go through all that BUT because of that students who move from India to US find it easier to study because in US everything is laid back
