Move on, Armaan! We're with you!

Who doesn't love Armaan, with his hunky good looks, passionate nature, wit and charm? For the last three years, Armaan has been enchanting his fans in Dill Mill Gayye. However, the smile that used to melt the hearts of the entire nation seems to be fast fading away, as he is still grieving over the loss of his girlfriend Riddhima.

Riddhima, on the other hand, seems to have moved on, and accepted her relationship with Sid. It's time Armaan move on in life too. True, he and Riddhima shared a beautiful past, but now is not the time to wallow in the past. Now is the time to draw strength from the past and what we see around, and rebuild a beautiful future.

Small-town girl Geet in Geet-Hui Sabse Parayi has also moved on considerably in life. She has shed her innocence after being unceremoniously dumped at the airport by NRI Dev. To her dismay, she is also pregnant, and her family is not supporting her decision not to abort the child. Out of her parents' house, Geet has now become a smart, city girl, working and fending for herself. She has even started feeling tender love for the handsome Maan, who harbours equally tender feelings for her.

The same is the case with the leads of Rang Badalti Odhani Khanak and Shantanu. Both of them have moved ahead of a troubled past – Shantanu from his guilt at accidentally killing Suraj and his grief at being separated from his lady love Natasha, and Khanak from having to bear the sorrow of losing her husband just a day after her marriage and the humiliation of being laughed at by the Khandelwals. Both Shantanu and Khanak seem to now have accepted the reality of their situation – that they are married to each other and have been separated from their loved ones. They have found new friends in each other, and are treading the path of life with renewed vigour and hope.

It might sound harsh, but it's time Armaan too comes out of his grief, and finds new reasons for life. It's time his aching heart found solace in new hopes and joys. It's time he lets go of the past, and looks forward to the future. Here are some suggestions on how Armaan and anybody in this positions can achieve this.

• First and foremost, he should accept the reality that he is separated from Riddhima. He can begin to come out only when he accepts the situation and thinks about what he needs to do next. He should devotedly focus on what he wants from life today and in future.

• Armaan should take a break, and take his own time to heal and re-energise himself. Friends and family would be an invaluable source of support at this time. He should do activities that please him, and meet people who make him feel good. It would also be great if he could try to explore new interests and hobbies. He should stay active and keep himself busy, which would help him get out of his feelings of self-pity.

• Instead of trying to assign faults and blames, he should learn from past lessons and think of what he would like to change in himself and what he would want in a new relationship.

• Armaan, instead of being wary of future relationships, should try to accept them whole-heartedly. He should look at a new relationship as a way of finding love and comfort, rather than dwelling in the past and thinking of himself as a 'relationship failure'.

We hope Armaan gets over his grief soon and gets his smile back. He has an ardent admirer in Shilpa, and it would be great to see him recognizing and accepting her love for her!
