Television's top cop ACP Pradyuman (Shivaji Satam) and his team of sleuths will soon be caught between the covers — of a comic book. From what we learn, producer B P Singh of Sony's crime thriller, CID, is planning a comic book series on the show. The drama now unfolds in a weekly one-hour series on Fridays. Every episode story will be captured in a comic book format. Singh is now busy checking out the technicalities of launching CID books. Eight years on, Singh has kept Pradyuman and his task force going — the latest being bringing them to book — that sounds fun.
The Esha Deol — Hema Malini project has given rise to speculation aplenty even before the film actually rolls. As soon as Hema announced the project a while back, intermittently we kept our ears to the grapevine. The first buzz was Hema will only direct, not act. Second came that both Esha and Hema will team up — that they will play mother-daughter; later it was heard that will be sisters. Third was the presence of Rekha in the film. The latest buzz doing the rounds is that the film revisits Hema's superhit, Seeta aur Geeta, in which she played a double role. When we checked with Esha, she pooh-poohed the buzz. "I think people have nothing better to do than spread these rumours. We have not even finalised a script," says Esha. We take her word for the moment — that's till the next buzz does the rounds.
At Samir and Palak Sheth's Spanish feista last week we spotted Pooja Bedi strapped around a TDH guy minus papa Kabir. A prospective suitor again, at least that's what appeared to be. The couple walked in together, looking all happy as if the love bug has hit them. They not only rubbed shoulders but also shared the same plate and even exchanged warm hugs. But before we jumped into conclusions Pooja cleared the air, "Oh, that was Kamal Somaya, a friend from Australia. He is in town and I thought he must take a walk around the happening Mumbai party circuit. That's how he tagged along." We believe you on that, Pooja.
Probably the organisers were unaware of it — anyway it was for the cause of kids. The telly world knows that Manish Goyal and Anuj Saxena are not exactly buddies. Ok, let's say it — they don't see eye-to-eye. On Sunday, they shared the stage at the Peek-a-Boo Toddlers Dances of The World concert at the St Andrew's auditorium, Bandra. Manish's wife Poonam Narula was also present with son Aryaveer besides choreographer Sandeep Soparrkar and Shaina NC. At the concert, Manish and Poonam sat on one end of the row while Anuj and Shaina were at the other end. After the grand finale by the hearing and speech-impaired kids from Lokmanya Institute — the guests were asked to come on stage. As seen in the picture, both Manish and Anuj kept their distance. Leave alone a word being exchanged, they did not even look at each other's direction. Well, well…. the cold vibes made us hunt for a furry overcoat! | |||||||||||||
