I have been reading a lot of MaanEet scenes and FF's and could not resist penning down some of my thoughts too, so here goes....
This is what I have felt MaanEet were going through during the Kehna hi kya...Maahiiiiii scene
Maan felt her presence in the room while exercising and heard the tinkling of her earrings above the flutter of the birds. What was Geet doing here? What was so important that she would try to find him so late in the evening? While all these thoughts were running through his mind, he heard her running away, trying to slip back into the shadows. He could have let her go but could not resist the temptation of finding out what she was upto. He found her hiding behind the curtains and pulled her into the light and could not stop himself from gazing into her eyes as if he could look into her very soul.
Maan felt her vibrant being so close to himself, that, it was only with the last shred of will power that he held onto his reactions, his sanity. His heart knew how close it was to dangerous waters, when he moved her hair aside and traced that delicate ear which enticed him so at that moment. He inhaled her sweetness while bending to put her earring back in and helplessly leaned in close to her cheek almost in a caress- so close yet so far. He knew he did not have that right.... yet. He was almost on the verge of letting his feelings out of their confines, when it was her indrawn breath that brought him back to his senses with a kind of resistance he had never felt or needed before. He did not want to move away - away from those eyes that questioned yet answered the deep yearning reflected in his own. Away from those lips, that breathed in the same air as him yet trembled in gasps as if it was as hard for her to breathe as it was for him.
Geet did not know why she had just not taken the earring and moved away. She felt like a moth close to his flame and waited with baited breath holding onto her emotions. She tried to control her breathing as Maan looked deep in her eyes searching for something while hiding answers in his own. It felt like she had waited an eternity for him to move her hair aside, and his fingers tormented her with the lazy way they moved around her ear blazing fiery paths to the pit of her stomach. Her eyes closed of their own volition and she felt Maan moving close to her ear. She could feel his warm breadth on her cheek fanning all the dormant desires she never knew she had. He had finally put the earring in, but instead moving away he brushed her hair back in a feathery caress. When he finally began to move away, she almost wished he didn't. His stubble had grazed her cheek, sending shivers to nerve endings already frayed by his closeness. He was a hair's breadth away from her lips - she did not know what she wanted more at that moment - to open her eyes to see him so close or keep them closed and feel those soft bow shaped lips on hers. Finally, she opened her eyes to try and fathom what had happened and regain some semblance of composure but he seemed to have shuttered everything and was asking her why she had come there?
Her mind was still in a daze and she barely formulated an appropriate response before he went away leaving her feeling like she was adrift at sea with nothing to hold onto.....
