We are on the verge of yet another independence day. So I would like to know what you think about freedom personally. When did you felt independent in your life?

I feel independent when I can do whatever I want, I can say whatever I feel is right, I can free my mind and soul from any outside pressure, disturbance or influence, I can feel that I am free to turn any of my dreams to reality.

On a personal note, my most memorable moment of independence was when I bought a diamond nose ring for my mom with my first salary. It was something I wanted to do for a long time and it gave me such an inexplicable pleasure.

Friends please share your moments of freedom too..

We are trapped inside are bodies and we will be free in the real sense when we die...
Coming to the freedom that we all perceive is not total freedom....yes we can do what we want but within the prescribed rules and regulations...I cannot drive at 100MPH where the speed limit is 70MPH...
like they say..ur freedom ends where my nose begins..

Depends on who you talk to

There are people who like to view the glass half full
they will see the progress and beat their chests

There are people who like to view the glass half empty
they will see that 1/2 the population is under the poverty line

I just am thankful to the effort of the great generation that is passing away everyday who really worked hard to get India the independence. One such person planted a 10 million trees in his lifetime

For me, independence is not just about being free and own your own, but also a symbolism of great responsibility. It is about starting a new beginning and building yourself up, and get recognized by your efforts and what you are, and not somebody else.

For me independence is being able to sleep when I want to, and get up when I feel like. Eat what I want to and where I like. Go out with whom I want to and whenever I wish to.... without having to explain all the details everytime 😡

Then make the most of tomorrow's Independence Day celebration 😆
I think true independence would be when one can claim to be the master of ones destiny.
