this is exactly what shaan's character is all abt i guess... from the beginning he has been shown as this careless, irresponsible and slightly immature kinda guy who fails to seriously understand the real consequences of his actions... he just sees everything from his point of view- basically how khanak described him once :P.. per as his character developed, we r seeing him learning to take his responsibilities seriously- aka khanak his wife... per he still has not matured completely, thus we have him having diff sort of ties with both the women in his life..
1) natassha: he "thinks" he loves her - and thus, doesn't want to let go of her, becuz he is SHAAN, and natassha is his "love"... how can she go away from him... so he wants to make sure he has her with him..
2) khanak: his wife for next 5 months... subconsciously he is really falling for her, and its this only that is really making him care for her so much... but he thinks its becuz he wants to be responsible for her, which is only part of the reason...
so tying these two together, yes it def. seems like he is leading both the ladies - what with imagining one in kuch khaas hai and the other in iktara... but i think this is only to show the conflict between hsi conscious and subconscious mind.. and UNTIL shaan really learns to distinguish b/w those two, he won't mature... i guess by the end of this marriage (or show), v will finally get to see shaan really develop into a firm, decisive character, who knows what he truly wants (consciously AND SPECIALLY subconsciously) and knows how to pursue it while making sure the consequences aren't bad either.. rather than just trying to keep everything for himself w/o knowing what it is in that 'everything' that he really needs/wants....

Hello Fellow Sidney Crosby Fan!

Your explanation/analysis of Shaan totally makes sense. I didn't watch the show at the beginning so didn't see Shaan's character development as an immature and irresponsible guy. And from that perspective his behaviour is in sync with his personality. If he is a selfish boy, of course he doesn't realize that he is leading both ladies on...it is all about the gratification...doesn't realize that flirting with Khanak the way he is, is not appropriate when he is supposed to be in love with someone else. It will be nice to see his transformation once he realizes that he no longer loves Tasha but Khanak.

Thanks all for your thoughts and welcome to the forum!!!
