OMG!! (Ref: the SBB segment)

They are invoking the Laila-Majnu imagery!

All the persecution of Pratigya, locking her up, trying to stifle her voice, killing her! All the attempts of the 'Zaalim duniya' to separate the lovers.

Krishna wandering like a mad-man, unconcerned for self of society – The legendary desert wanderings of Majnu!

Oh! How I love a classical tale! How I like it when they tell a story in such a grand, unabashed way. Some stories are meant to be larger than life and it is wonderful when the narrative does not shy away from emotion and grandiloquence.

Modernity and subtle tales are all very well in their way, but give me a 'Proper' love story any day!

HAILA! 😳 I so agree with you! These are the kind of love stories which tug your heart! The insanely in love deewana... 😍 Its the MUSH we all want and Pratigya is giving us that!

Wen i first lukd at it..I was like.."wats this?"

but wat more can u expect from a man who is madly in love ..who wants to trust his wife but couldnot bring himself to do... who is waging a war with his own emotionsn feelings....who neither wants to lose nor to win... who is engulfing his pain all by himself....

same with his ladylove... wat is she expected to do..cant find her man..who stud like a rock with her...cant find her love..her only solace in the world wer she sees only wild n horrific things... she is also fighting woth her feelings...feeling guilty for ahving brot to this condition... feeling everything void around her without him...

Well, I just went right away to listen to this song from the film Laila- Majnu, and of course I was only seeing it totally in the Kriya context!😉😳😳

but dear...wen u r in love..madly in love...even a single silly argument can turn u upside down...not a single ounce of food will go thru ur throat...heart will be heavy..it wil be burdened!!

for a love extremist like Krishna... this is actually quite realistic..I must say!!they have done ti quite good!!

though he is strong naturally..every1 has their melting n breaking point!!

I know what you mean Anu! at first yo know you look at it, and sort of tend to feel embarrassed. You are like No! baba,NO!! this is too much!
We are all a little bogged down, I think by the veneers of civilization we wear on a daily basis. We like things to be within reasonable limits of what we think of as acceptable or 'cool'.
But sometimes a story or a character comes around that forces us to open our doors to areas beyound our comfort zone. Krishna is such a character!
Because more that the manliness or mardanigi we come to except, Krishna's is a nature full of passion, and passions cannot be contained by modes of conduct or within the daira of expected behaviour, no?
And what Great love has ever cared about self-image or societal ridicule.
