I read 3 parts at a stretch today ... and am like ...*faint ..thud* .... and this is in my office, mind you ... am sitting here with a glazed look on my face ...not willing to come out of Maneet heaven 😍!!!!

Taking off where the Promo came in'

Pari.. Pari ko kahan se laaogi Geet? Asks Maan not revealing the smile he felt inside. He had looked at the picture of the girls that Daadi had sent via Geet and had uttered looking at Geet what he saw. He was enjoying this new feelings within him, this need to rile her. Kaha to Aasmaan se Maan sar! Mein abhi jaati hoon!

He had been enthralled by her ever since that evening when she had come to thank him. He had felt a current go through him as he had touched her ear, as he had pushed and tucked her hair away, as he had inserted the earring in her lobe, he had caressed it without knowing what he was doing and he had felt tingling sensation. He had been lost in the revelation and found answering resonance in her body the way it had swayed ever so slightly towards him as he had touched her, her eyes closing. It had been a herculean task for him to pull back when actually he wanted to delve deeper into her, her eyes, her lips' He cut his thoughts'

He knew he had admitted to his feelings to her of feeling protective of her, of being between every harm that falls on her' He had made a promse to her'he will always protect her. He had taken liberty of assuming she will be his, with him always, but hell that's how he felt.

He had been stunned and amused at her silly attempts to make him toe the line that Daadi had thrown. He knew what Daadi was up to, trying to get him into a corner. She knew very well that after Sameera nothing was going to change his mind, but she loved to play these emotional blackmail games and poor Geet had become her puppet. He had wanted to tell her straight that there was nothing that will make him marry again, well he did have thoughts of someone that made him want to feel again but marriage was a long way away. She in her innocence, which he always found beguiling had made him wan to tease her. Oh, it was so easy to rile her up, he thought again. She was so easy to target.

The photographs were of girls that he did not like, the typical modern girls who believed fashion was wearing revealing clothes, colored short hair, loud make up and accessories that could be a ship's anchor. In proved that Geet had not seen the photographs when he told that he did not like long haired, salwar kameez clad, small town girls and she had reacted as if she was being rejected. Little did she know that he was captivated by her beauty, mesmerized by her simplicity and captured in her heart that only wanted her.

She had stormed almost out of office in a huff, saying she was going to find him a Pari'.when the only fairy he wanted was standing right in front of him. She was still not getting it, he inwardly smiled' and said'Aise thori na milegi tumhein Pari? She turns thinking he is trying to give in and smiles at him and says To kaise milegi? Sitting back in her chair. Maan sat back, comfortable now to see her feeling as if he will give in. Mein milwata hoon tumhein Pari se! She sat forward with eyes widening, Achha? Kahan hai?

Kal subah! Tumhare ghar mein le kar aaonga! Mera matlab outhouse mein lekar aaonga. Satisfied that maan will agree to finally bring the girl to her, she left.

Next day morning, Geet got dressed early wearing a blue dress, she just got out to the balcony to put out her towel to dry, but wanted to give one last rub to her still wet hair, when she saw him downstairs coming towards her, but where was the Pari, she wondered but lost herself in him looking at him coming. He was holding something behind his back and she mused, oh he must have brought her photo and in her eagerness, she quickly ran down the stairs throwing the towel on the way. Just as she was about to reach the bottom of the stairs, she saw maan standing there. He still had his hands behind his back. She said, Aap Pari ki tasveer laaye hai? Dikhaye mujhe, she went the last few steps and tried to reach behind his back. He turned away, Na, aise nahi, Apni aankhen band karo he said. She said, nahi aap cheating kar rahe ho. He said, agar Pari ko dekhna hai to aise hi warna mein chala, almost turning away, still hiding what he had behind his hand.

She pouted, Maan sir, ye theek nahi par, aap ki ye baat bhi maanoongi. She closed her eyes still having a sulky mouth, her head tilted to one side. Her open wet hair bouncing about her face. She looked a blooming flower with the first drops of rain on it. He drank her fill, he could not take his eyes off her, he stood there in front of her rooted to the spot. She got impatient and stomped her feet in child like manner and said, Kab tak.. Sir, aankhen bannd rakhni paregi?

Maan leaned into her near her ears and said, bas thori der. He held her by her shoulders with one hand and led her near the windows that were closed but one could see their reflection in it. He stood next to her so that she could face the window but he could see her face. He brought out the white rose, from behind his back and in front of her. He could not resist running it on her cheek. She twitched and tried to raise her hand, but he held, Nahi. He then told her holding the rose in front of her, Aankhen kholo, Geet aur meri Pari ko dekho, in a husky voice. She opened her eyes but everything seemed blurred for a second. She tried to squint to see better but all she could see was her reflection in the glass. She thought she saw a rose in the garden beyond the window, but it was blurred. She focused harder and looked to see maan holding the rose, the very white rose he had said he hated. The rose he had asked her to throw away.

She looked at him puzzled at what he was trying to say. He said, Pari, who Pari tum ho Geet! Coming closer to her and tracing a finger on her jaw, to tip her chin up. Geet was in a shock, she could not believe what she had just heard. She came to when she felt his touch on her. Taking a step back, she broke the contact with him, shaking her head she took couple of steps back a sob escaping her and said'

Nahi'Nahi..mein'Nahi'turned and ran away'. Leaving a very shocked Maan behind.
