What is that furry white thing growing on his torso? And the fugly fur boots. Geez, someone at GQ India REALLY hates Abhay or got a bit too inspired by the ADIDAS Teamgeist advertisement. Either case, they should be in jail for fashion crimes against beauty much like Sky TV for what they did to hotties like Legrottaglie.

AISHA has released and one challenge that the producers definitely faced was promoting the film without its leading man Abhay Deol. While keeping a brave face all throughout, the youngsters in AISHA are currently taking multi city tours with all burden falling on Sonam's shoulders. Even though different theories keep striking every second day with the spiciest one being Abhay deliberately avoiding the promotion due to him not being too happy with his role in the film, Sonam isn't allowing this distraction to build any negative energy around her.


"I am sure even he is missing all the fun that we are having while promoting the film", smiles Sonam who is on a definite high after the success of I HATE LUV STORYS, "No one can help it through. He had a prior commitment to Zoya's film ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA and since it has such a huge star cast, he couldn't afford to deviate from the plans."



One can't help but ask Sonam this question - 'Is Abhay absent due to the fact that he is mainly a strong supporting actor in the film rather than a lead hero per se'? At least this is the perception that one gets after seeing the promos.

It is an ensemble piece and while the film is called AISHA because it is from her perspective. Each and every other character is important to the movie, including Abhay. Regarding your question about him being a lead hero or not, then well we are trying to cut the whole idea of hero and a heroine here. AISHA is as real as it gets with story of real people. Abhay is an extremely confident actor and a confident man; hence he was totally in synch with the character he had to portray."


I love the way the talk about each other...they understand each other really well....:) LOVED what she said about Abhay. Spot on.

Other actors skip out on their promotions but not all of their intentions are questioned o.o

Just because he isn't part of the promotion, doesn't mean he doesn't has a good role. Atleast my friends loved him in the movie.
