firstly - be careful of what you wish for.
Secondly - no, you don't, really really really don't want to be in her shoes, or ANYONE ELSE'S shoes. Remember, the grass is ALWAYS greener on the other side.
Thirdly - you're forgetting that IN THAT MARRIAGE were days and nights she didn't stop crying. You're forgetting, that IN THAT MARRIAGE, she burned her past, moved on toward an uncertain future.
Fourthly - you're not Riddhima, and the guy won't be Sid. He may lash out at you, lets say, and not be patient like Sid was ... THEN WHAT?
If you really wanna give it a try, then have an arranged marriage.
Stories like this are heart warming, and make you cry, and love the characters, and love the love. But that's just coz THEY ARE UNREAL. In real life, if this WAS REAL LIFE, then Ridzi would have divorced Sid, or Sid would've left her by now. If this was real life, he wouldn't have even offered to marry someone he initially hated so much, someone he KNEW was literally crazy for someone else.
I'll give you teh same advice I gave to this Armaan crazed girl who wanted a bf like him - these are fictional characters, stories, and EMOTIONS. That is NOT HOW REAL LIFE PLAYS OUT. In real life, when you hurt, you hurt, and you hate, and you lash out. Then there are repercussions, and typically not nice. Then you have to face the music. And it's typically the sadder version of 'tanhaayee' (from dil chahta hai).
Listen, don't build your dreams, and your idols, and your concepts of love and life, off of fiction. Fiction has a place in our lives, and that's entertainment, and THAT IS IT. Don't go blurring the line b/w reel and real. It can hurt alot.
There IS no dream guy out there - marry a GOOD guy, and make that YOUR DREAM life. Then you'll be happier than Sid-Ridz. You'll play those hide and seek games, those nakhra games, those manaaoofying, those serious ones when he/you are hurt, etc. You can shape it into a beautiful love story THEN, but don't go wishing for something that'll start off negative. It only turns positive in stories.
Sorry for the sermon - it's scary how many ppl want to take the fiction adn turn it into reality
