Sexual hrrassment - a condition of the mind?

Have you ever wobdered, if a woman did these things to a man -then would it be constured as sexual harassment or not?

For eg., if a man shows a woman po*n or talks dirty to her, he is liable to be booked by the victim woman on charges of secualy harrassing her. However, if a woman does the same to a man, ie. showed him po*n or flashed him...would it be considered offending to the man? Highly unlikely. I fact, if something like this happens, the man is upposed to feel "privilieged"....and if he registers any complaint with the authorities, then chances are that he wil be laughed at by his Male peers and showered with adjectives like "Fag". "Sissy", "Pussy" etc.😆😕

On the basis of this..i present this querie - what is sexual harrassment for a woman is fun to a man..does this mean that Sexual Abuse (barring Rape) , is a Societal Conditioning?

Shouldn't it be the other way around --- It is harrassment if you do not like the person. If you like the person you find ways to justify it.

Even if it is put the way I reworded it here - you are imlying that both rape and love making are one and the same thing. That the nature, intention and objective behind a rape and lovemaking are same.

I think whether it is harrassment or not depends largely on whether such behvior was welcomed/sought after by another party or not. If any random person walks up to me and starts telling me an off color joke or keeps touching my shoulder while talking to me or stands too near me or tries to act over familiar with me --- I will not be comfortable. If that behavior is repeated often, it will be harrassment. It is not solely a matter of who I like or don't like. It's more related to whether it is solicited or unsolicited and whether it is repeated often despite me making it very clear that I do not approve of it.

Hence, I feel harrassment is NOT a state of mind. Overstepping one's boundaries are not acceptable irrespective of one's relationship with the other person.
