I am younger than the new Jagya : Vibha Anand

It is official now. Vibha Anand (Sugna) is not leaving Balika Vadhu. For some time now, there have been rumours floating around about her leaving the show. Vibha confirmed to TellyChakkar about it. "It is not correct. I am very much a part of the show. In fact, I am starting shooting from today and am really looking forward to it."

But isn't it true after the leap she had some differences with the makers of the show? "Yes, it is true I was a bit reluctant to continue after the leap. I was not sure of what to do. I am 18 years old and after a five-year leap, I will be shown as a mother of a five-year-old kid. I don't think that would have looked very real. The new Jagya is older than me and I will be playing his elder sister! I was not sure whether that would look right on screen," confesses Vibha. Then how did she agree to continue? "The creative team convinced me about the whole thing and now I am ready to start with the show." What added fuel to the rumours was that Vibha was on leave for a few weeks and had been to her native place. "I needed this break and had a jolly good time there," she smiles.

Vibha will also be seen in Imagine's Meethi Choori No 1 where her look and dressing style (plunging necklines et al) have been discussed a lot. "A mountain has been made of a mole hill! I had selected a dress for me but on the day of the shooting, the creative team told me the girls who are short will wear knee -length dresses. I did not want to oppose them, respected their decision and went ahead with what they suggested. That was the end of it! " clarifies Vibha.

How has her experience been? The pretty actress explains, "Frankly, I was not comfortable in the show, was not sure what was going on! I agreed to participate because I wanted to break my image. I do not want to be known as Sugna throughout my career. Actors have a very short life in television and I don't want to take the risk of doing just one thing at a time though it was a lot of fun. We had been specifically asked not to be serious in the show. I guess we have also taken 'fun' in the right spirit and though we were asked many questions, we have taken it in the right spirit. In my episodes, there were actresses like Urvashi Dholakia, Neha Marda and Yami Gautam. I am very anxious to know the reactions of my fans and friends in the industry on what they felt about my performance," she says.

What next for Vibha? "I have done a feature film with Rajshri Productions and it will release in December. My audience will see me in a new avtaar in this coming few months. I will decide the next step based on the audience' reaction!" she signs off.
