Pratigya's family was trying hard to brush the matter under the carpet so that Pratigya's marriage doesn't suffer, but Angad's death forced Pratigya to reveal the incident that took place a day before her marriage with Krishna. She had to do it to save her father from getting imprisoned.
Informs our source from the show, "After giving her statement in the court and disclosing the entire incident, where she was abducted by Angad Yadav, who kept her for a day, Pratigya was aware that she has invited trouble in her life all by herself. But not even in her worst nightmares, did she think that she would go through extreme humiliation meted out by her mother-in-law. Pratigya's mother-in-law will blacken her face to prove that she is impure as she was taken hostage by Angad for a day. Pratigya always knew a storm is going to erupt in her personal life after what had transpired in the court but the humiliation by her in-laws will leave her zapped and stunned. Her husband Krishna, who supports her, will not be there to save her the insult, as he is out. As the scene progresses, Krishna enters the house and asks his family members to leave Pratigya alone. But he goes mad when he is left alone with Pratigya. Krishna will not be able to take it too kindly."
When contacted, Pratigya said, "There is a biggest twist in Pratigya's life slated to air tonight. I wouldn't want to divulge it but would request the fans from Indya.com to watch the show."
Incidentally, Pratigya has raised furore and opposition from different chambers especially from parts of North India. There was a sequence where Pratigya gets married to Krishna and the track focuses on the wedding of a Kayastha (Pratigya) with a Thakur (Krishna). Apparently, a group representing the Kayasthas took an offense to the track and demanded an explanation as to why the shows have to talk extensively about Kayasthas. Apparently, they even had burnt the effigies and postures of the protagonists of Pratigya.
To which Pratigya says, "Well, I too just heard about it like you, but nothing reached me that could be confirmed."
We wonder why is it difficult for the law makers and the influential people to accept that such incidents are real and they do take place in the Indian society? We just hope that this scene doesn't spell any furore.
So in order to know what happens tonight, watch Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya, Monday to Friday at 10:30 pm on STAR Plus.
