I watch it because I find it very different from your typical indian drama.
The male lead has both characterists of positive yet negative and makes his character interesting. He is not your typical romantic guy and nor your typical negative husband who beats (mostly) or hates his wife. There is two opposing sides to him. Some dramas you can predict the guy is gonna change for the good, whereas with Krishna you cannot tell. He is unpredictable in that sense which in my opinion is a good thing as it makes him very intriguing. Also the actor who plays him is brilliant he can really bring audiences to love him or hate him at times. Also he gets straight to the point.
Pratigya I liked her character at the beginning (and still do now.) But I found that at the beginning the show was misrepresented as it appeared to show how an independant modern woman stands up for herself in a backward family/society which did not appear at first as she was always scared and crying. But then recently they showed her to be more independant so I think this can be interesting and makes me want to watch it more.
Also with indian dramas if the marriage started of with no love it is easliy predicatablethat they will fall in love eventually with their lil eye contacts and touchy feely lol. But here you cannot tell directly(though it is an indian drama so they probably will fall in love)
As much as I hate the character Shakti he does add to the show. Amma Ji I love her acting especially when she says "madame Victoria" LOL! SS is one funny villian..I mean that in a good way, he makes me want to watch Pratigya
Not too keen on Pratigya's family but Komal I love her. Ok I know she is bad and stuff but her antics makes me want to watch Pratigya more and more to know if she is gonna change, is there gonna be romance and what not. And with Komal she is not your typical evil bahu, as she is direct and not sly and some of her actions/anger can be justified and she does it to get Ardash's love rather than your typical get $$$. The actress who plays her does brilliant job and honestly Komal I never miss a scene of hers, probably 50% reason why I watch this show.
So overall coz the characters are somewhat different along with the show (though there are elements of a typical indian drama such as the OTT special effects/music/costume and being mainly surrounded around marriage life) but it has depth and huge potential to be a long running show if done correctly.
